2002 SeaDoo RX DI 951 direct injection bought for $250 with zero compression on rear cylinder. My guess to what caused the engine to fail, I found the wear ring was destroyed, so I'm guessing the previous owner revved the engine to try and make the ski go until it overheated, causing the piston rings to expand and come apart. I rebuild the top end, cylinders were bored 1 mm oversized, new pistons, rings, RAVE valves clearanced so they don't snag a piston ring. The beeping is a 12 volt low warning, it goes away after about 5 minutes, a new rectifier is on order to fix it.
UPDATE: The next time out it ran 62 mph on GPS.
ANOTHER UPDATE: I installed a voltage rectifier from a SeaDoo 4 tec (heavy duty), that fixed the low voltage issue. This ski is pretty fast and GREAT on fuel. I know some people hate the SeaDoo DI (direct injection) system, but it's a great system. I may keep this ski as a spare.
The Yamaha GP1300r sitting next to it can be seen in my other videos, it's a beast.
