The Marlins pitching staff has betrayed them so far. They're lucky to get out of Wrigley with a split.

Looking at Prior’s Game 2 pitch count; if Dusty did pull him a few innings earlier, who should have finished the game?

Imagine if the Cubs get out of that 9th inning jam and Sosa’s HR was a walkoff

Perhaps the whole Steve Bartman incident never happens and he would've gotten to keep living a normal life.

When the 2003 NL season ended, the two best teams were the Giants and Braves. But the Marlins and Cubs were the two HOTTEST teams in baseball down the stretch. And so, the NLCS features a pair of Cinderella teams in the Fish and the Cubbies. At Wrigley Field in Game 1, the Cubs jumped on starter Josh Beckett for four quick first inning runs with Moises ALou's two-run blast the key. But in the third, Carlos Zambrano lost his touch. Juan Pierre...who else...started the proceedings with a one-out triple. After a walk to Castillo, Pudge hit it to Waveland Avenue for a three-run blast. Miguel Cabrera and Juan Encarnacion followed suit with home runs of their own. The Cubs' Alex Gonzalez tied it in the 6th with a two-run clout. Still tied in the 9th, a double, a walk and an error loaded the bases with Marlins. Pudge singled home two runs to put them ahead. In the bottom half, the Fish were an out away from a win. But with a man on, Sammy Sosa brought down the house when he blasted one onto the Waveland residents to the tie game at 8-8. It was Sammy's first ever postseason blast. Come the 11th, though, Mike Lowell pinch-hit, and delivered the game's 7th home run (tying the record for most dingers in a playoff game). Braden Looper shut the Cubs down in the bottom half and the Marlins won a thriller, 9-8. In Game 2, Brad Penny got roughed up early and often. The Cubs scored two in the first, and then three more in the second as Sosa hit a blast to Milwaukee (502 foot blast). Mark Prior scattered eight hits in 7 innings, and the Cubs won easily, 12-3. The NLCS was tied at 1 win apiece as the scene shifts to Miami.

I think by this time in 2003, most of the Marlins pitching staff was dating Alyssa Milano: Beckett, Penny, Pavano

Actually, it was supermodel Leann Tweeden that Beckett was dating. And it was Pavano that was seeing Milano.
