And here I am desperately searching for a video on how to reconstruct the baffles

All that bunk about back pressure has been proven wrong. Old mechanics believed this very often. Going from regular exhaust manifold, to different styles of headers, proved the exhaust flow characteristics and can be shown on the dyno. Don’t buy snake oil. Nice bike. Thank you for the video!!

My baffles were already breaking loose and rattling and it was driving nuts. So I I did this to my bike and it sounds awesome. Don’t care about losing some power becuase I don’t beat on it but I love the way it sounds and my Harley friends love the distinct sound.

Dude you really helped me out with this video! So glad I didn't spend $800 on pipes when 15 minutes I had all the baffles out and it sounds just as good.

@r meeker...if the baffles are out on your bike and it doesnt run well you might need to rejet carb.go up a size if you want to keep baffles out.but if you do want to put baffles back in the youll be fine should be no need for rejet

I've been highly contemplating on doing this to mine. A few videos show the cross flows being pinched off in different ways. But doing this, they claimed that it doesn't mess up the back pressure. I havent found anything (short of personal talking to a certified Honda mechanic) that it will mess it up. I am wanting to take out the center piece, but leave the flange riveted in. I think it might give it a twang sound though. Still not sure. Kinda of like it quiet

Just wondering, if you want a motorcycle that sounds like a pos harley, why not just buy the pos harley? The Honda magna is a street cruiser and shouldn't be that loud. Nothing wrong with a deep throaty sound but to be obnoxiously loud is so pos harley.

I grind out those plates in the inside lip there on the end, and now that there is more air flow the carbs should be rejetted

Do you still have the baffles and plates? I am looking for some.

Could you easily put them back in?

I was looking at Cobra pipes, but wasn't impressed! They only have the slide on rear mufflers for Magna 750 V45s.. Jardine has some nice full pipes, but they are not cheap. I think I am gonna try this technique bro. I'm convinced. I am not concerned with setting any speed records anyway, I just slow ride. What do you think about grinding off the flange on the end where the rivits fastened to? I wonder if that would give it a cleaner and lower pitch to the pop and rumble? What do you think?

Jardine is the way to go if you can find a set of drags! Best sounding pipes for the bike!

did you have to rejet after doing this? i have a 94 and the baffles are tack welded on.i was thinking about removing baffles but dont really want to rejet,as i just repainted bike few days ago and trying to avoid any major work as to not risk scratching paint,as it isnt 100% cured.so if just removing baffles is a rejet nessisary?
