Hell yeah, I have a RR3 in the same finish from around the same time. It was actually my first electric guitar.

I got one back in the day in about 2004 mij, crimson swirl , duncan designed pups, which sound great and licensed FR, which still works brilliant to this day, a lot of people replaced the hardware i havent as it all works solid, still nearly 20 year later. Only thing i have replaced was the metal nut, as the old one got damaged, still my go to guitar.

Awesome! Yea, the person that owned this one before me let all the hardware and pickups corrode unfortunately. That’s really cool that you still have and play yours. They’re excellent guitars

I had the RR2 version of this guitar. It was great but the Duncan JB was trash, so I sold it

Yea, the Duncan Designs are not the best. That’s why I changed them out. Great guitar aside from that though

for some reason a JB does not always sound right in the RR models, they put distortions in many RR now which is excellent

What is the body wood?

2003 and 2005 DK2’s had an alder body, so I assume the 2004’s do as well. This model was about $779 retail too

Alder is usually use in stratocaster isn't it?? Is this guitar worth to play any extreme metal genre?? Thrash or death metal maybe
@theguitargrappler9352
8 ай бұрын
@@RisdityaPurnama-he5sq Yes, alder is also used in most metal guitars. I think that the amp, pickups, and pedals make more difference in the tone than the tone wood.
