Childress should have kept Robby because he could've gotten more wins for this organization.

Ian Khan I don’t see Robby having any more success in that 31 then Burton had in the years to come

Robby could've won more restrictor plate more road course races. He was better than Skinner. They took Kevin Hamlin away from Robby after 2003 causing him to struggle in 2004.

Jeff Gordon Sports His 1993-2003 Winston Cup Firesuit in This Race

I don't know, maybe it was the cleanest one he had. Most drivers probably have several fire suits they wear and back then, they had ones with Winston Cup on it and they could still use them as it was part of their wardrobe. Plus Jeff could pay the fine.

Never a fan of the Irwin Blue and Yellow cars Busch drove at times in 2004-2005. Thank goodness he clinched the title in that slick Sharpie car.

Tony Stewart falls out of the race early and commentators debate whether he could still come back or not. Tony Stewart is 124 points behind in 8th after this race. Fast forward to Kansas when Jimmie Johnson wrecks he finds himself 247 points behind also in 8th after Kansas with just 6 races left and nearly comes back to win just 8 points short. Mathematically speaking Tony would still be in control of his own destiny by winning the remaining races and leading the most laps. That gives you a 15 point cushion over 2nd place with 2nd place leading a lap. So 15x9= 135 so yes even Tony Stewart where he fell in points after this race, -124 points, was still in control.
