I’ve owned 5 of them so far. The RSX is the most underrated Honda ever made. I really like them because is the kseries motor, awesome 6 speed gearbox, great shifter feel, love the hatchback/coupe, very practical, timeless design, awesome aftermarket support, awesome sound system and a very simple, durable interior. If the DC5 had came with double wishbone suspension, would have been the best FWD car ever made. I time attack/HPDE my car, man is it awesome to drive. Dusted my buddies evo X MR on track.😂 So awesome to see Anthony showing love to the DC5 community!!!

I owe a huge thanks to you. The Yonaka exhaust is amazing. I have a 92 Civic DX and I had to throw a cheap eBay exhaust on as it was the cheapest option at the time. It was a pain to install, didn't fit right, rattled all the time, was too loud, and sounded horrible. ISP didn't like it and liked to pull me over. After your recommendation for the Yonaka exhaust I pulled the plug on one and that's one of the best things I've done to my car. It fits perfect. Sounds incredible. Quiet when I need it to be. I bought my '05 RSX Type-S back in 2012. I still have it. Last 6 years or so, it has been just sitting outside since I have got a lease. But the lease is ending soon and I have started working on the RSX. It is a great car. I still love it. Many times my wife has asked me to sell it but I refuse and get annoyed that she even brings that up. Right now, it needs some love. Roof paint is pretty gone, the driver fender paint is peeling. AC doesn't work. AC being the big issue since this will be my daily once again when the lease is returned. Great video series. Love seeing a clean RSX. Great job on the car and hope to see more videos.

I got a vivid blue pearl 2006 rsx type s in early July 2022 with badly sun damaged paint and it was completely stock other than lowering springs. After going back to oem springs, a repaint, lots of detailing, and maintenance that is eerily similar to what you have done, I can say that it really is a beautiful car. Mine is still all stock other than a shift boot, shift knob, and a Tanabe medallion catback. It is my first car that is solely mine and I love driving it everyday. I've loved looking to yours to see what can be done while maintaining a clean, oem style build. Lately been considering a valve cover, cleaning/protecting my fender liners, the mpc lca/subframe bracing, the oem hatch floor mat, and now some new oem headlights after this video. If I have some extra money to burn then I'd like to get Spoon calipers and Desmond regamasters too lol. Thanks Anthony for the great videos! @xxslayer255xx

@@camo7508 i just posted a Short of a before and after if you want to check it out. And yeah, clean Type-S's are hard to find. All the ones I see on marketplace are destroyed and they still want like $10k. It is insane right now. Edit: I thought it may be useful to include that I spent $2500 to have mine painted and an additional $500 for a replica type r wing that I have not mounted. The average, reasonable price I was quoted by reputable shops was $3.5-4k. In the Short I have one picture of it during the repaint and you can see their level of disassembly for $2.5k. A full disassembly was quoted from $15-40k by other shops and is advised more for full color changes. Additionally, the rep wing was going to be free to paint, but it is fiberglass and the paint shop said it was extremely difficult to work with. They painted it multiple times and it came out "wavy-looking" each time as it was twisted in ways that were not perceivable before a glossy coat of paint was applied. While expensive, a genuine wing would almost certainly be easier to paint and have a better finish.

I had a brand new 2006 type S, right from the dealer. The car was amazing. The blue color was a head turner. I tested eclipse, and a Mustang at the same time.... let's just say, RSX was years ahead in every category. The handling on this car is for lack of better word: perfect. The seats are the most comfortable seats on the market. The only negative: 1. We become a family of 5 so a 4 seater is a no go. The other is oil. The car loves oil, and if you don't change it every 4000 mile (5000 is recommended) you will have a drive chain failure. I did. And thankfully the chain just fell off as I was staring up the car, otherwise the engine would have been shredded. The trunk space is infinity.

I started out owning an 05 base rsx to 98 integra back to an 06 base rsx currently and I really do like the design. The clean and simple lines, the practicality of a hatchback but with a coupe profile, the flushed door handles, the basic creature comfort options like leather interior and moonroof, the sporty red gauge/dash lights, I'll stop there. I do like the low and slim look of the Integra more, but it does not feel comfortable and has well thought-out improvements as it's successor. Good to know a youtuber who can appreciate 2 door coupes this day in age. I’m also an RSX/Integra owner and I too own a 05 Type S and once I got it I never looked back. As a second owner of my RSX I’ve had mines and thank goodness it’s still operating normally in 2023. Car owners don’t appreciate special cars until the dealers stop selling them and the RSX is a special car especially since the Type S model is extremely difficult to find = expect to pay a lot of $ money $ for it if you’re lucky enough to find an owner who’s willing to sell it. Don’t expect too much as this car is discontinued and the market of car owners back then is different as opposed to today 2023. Most of these people can’t even drive a manual trans car and they are not worthy of owning an RSX. As my own way of saying it “the car picks its owner and the owner controls the car”. Only people who are excited about special cars can talk enthusiastically about a car such as the RSX-S for a high amount of time. In 2023 if you want a “clean” or descent Type S you have to buy a used crappy one and rebuild it yourself as it’s true these owners don’t maintain their car.

I would love to see a TSX/RSX hybrid. The coupe/hatchback of the RSX is awesome, but I love the way the 06-08 TSX front end looks. I get that many people, including you, love the RSX front end, but to me those huge headlights make it look so dated and the TSX headlights are actually timeless. But the TSX is only a sedan and the weight really puts a ceiling on driving fun without big mods so I wish there was a coupe/hatchback option like the RSX or the civics. Just my opinion though😅

Anthony, the guy that can grow a mustache while still talking about his RSX. Meanwhile 🤭 I love mine too (2002). I prefer the old look. 👀 For example: I understand people may like just the newer red/white taillights, but I feel much safer with the yellow signal lights. Plus I swapped dome, glove box, trunk light, license plate light, middle brake light and every single taillights’ light bulbs to LED and doesn’t trigger hyper flash - which is more noticeable during winter storms or rainy nights. I also installed a Spoon Sports front strut bar, though I cut off the part from the oem one where some cables run in other to have clearance and be able to use both bars at the same time.

Hi Anthony, great video! I’m an original owner of a daily driven 2003 RSX Premium, 5 speed. The car is 100% original and in excellent condition. I’m done polishing my original headlights and would like to get OEM headlights but with newer HID Lamps. Any recommendations on where to get both? I’m in LA.

Clean rsx👌👍. I don't have a garage & I live in a state where we get snow every year, would you still recommend this to me?

Absolutely love the car but honestly prefer the look of the stock wheels more. Maybe alloy or silver would set that black paint job off so well. Either way the car looks fantastic. It reminds me of Rsx I'm kinda sad i sold it.

I prefer the front end/rear end/ headlights/taillights on the 05/06 to the teardrop headlights and taillights on the 02/03/04. I drive exactly the same RSX as yours, but without the high spoiler.

I don’t mind the teardrops, but the sharper looks of the 05/06 does it for me

Please put PPF on the headlights. It’s cheap and will preserve them for a really long time. As you pointed out they’re hard to find and expensive. I did that on my 2005 and do t regret it at all.

Do have a how to video when you changed the motor mounts? I own an 02 base model, great economical car. My daughter drove it while going to college. I kept it to save miles & 💰driving my 2015 HD2500. Love the car, have done lots and staying original. Pushing 287k miles.

are you planning on upgrading all the bulbs to led? they are way better for cars since they draw way less power. they are also brighter. i did it to my 02 outback. it has been a game changer on being able to see at night inside and out.

It made the engine a bit quieter in my case, I would say you may notice a small improvement in drivability

Ive enjoyed this build doing a similar thing with my ep3. I went interior first and then motor swap to a k20/24 frank setup. Figured i see the interior most and drive it more than look at it. Plus ep3 body parts are stupid pricey for the hfp/type r stuff.

There's quite a few Frankenstein k swaps, was curious what your reason for the k20 / k24 setup? I've heard k20z3 head with a k24 bottom end is a killer combo with some slight modifications.

ep3's only had the a3 engine and its booty. I am doing a a2 head on a k24 bottom end with type s rods and pistons. @@TheOGtyler
