The test mode was defined as the vehicle moving at 40.5 km/h (25.1 Mph) striking the override load cell barrier at an impact angle of 0 degrees.
This was a research test following the fleet incompatibility tests performed between large and small vehicles.
The override barrier was set at a height of 436 mm for this test. All data processing was adjusted to set T-0 as the time when the vehicle passed over the override barrier. Vehicle to barrier contact occurred at approximately 13 milliseconds.
One 50th percentile adult male Hybrid III dummy and one 5th percentile adult female dummy were placed in the vehicle’s left front and right front designated seating positions, respectively. The driver dummy and passenger dummy were both belted and were restrained with front dual stage airbags. The dummies were not instrumented.
