Just had to replace this on my 2009 Chevy Aveo. Glad I was a block from my daughter's house when it sprung a leak. Be aware that it also sets off all the gauges on your dash. Temp, tach, and it causes your car to be very sluggish. Thank you so much for this video. It was great to see what my mechanic is fixing. Now I know where to look.

That pipe is very similar to the one that I had that failed on my 2000 Daewoo n u b i r a and I got the old one out but as far as getting my little bypass hose connected and which which is a third sprout off of the major big tube I'm going to have to do something like loosen the intake manifold or possibly attack it from the bottom or from the taking the passenger front tire and plastic fender protector off it's just a bear to get to be nice if they put a metal pipe down there eh, I had read that the Chevy optr and the Suzuki forenzo in Reno have similar and something called an Aveo have similar engines to that 2 Liter Daewoo engine which is basically a GM in an engine

Yes I’ve heard that some other models are similar to the Aveo. Best of luck with your installation!!

great info .. our hose broke in the same place do you have a part number ? also, is it possible to remove the two bolts holding the pipe to the engine without removing starter motor - we would leave the S hose attached and remove it at the water pump .. and then attach a new S hose to new pipe and thread it into position - attach S hose to water pump, insert two bolts and attach other hoses up top .. basically trying to do the job without removing the starter .

Sorry for the late reply, the part number is 96273608. Dealer item but can be purchased online. I didn’t see a way without removing the starter.

@@joeycarroll7311 Thanks Joe. We'll give it a go, using your method. We are in Dublin, Ireland and the Daewoo Kalos is the same car over here. The part number is helpful to confirm with the dealer because the part has to come in from Germany as a pre paid special order. Appreciate your help. Do you know of any other common problems with this car that we should plan for ? We bought the 2006 a few months ago with over 150,000 miles on it and we like it. Thanks.

@@johnkennedy1242 Great, I hope everything works out for you. The only other trouble we’ve had was a bad power steering pump. Other than that it’s been a very decent car for what he paid for it, which was only about 1500 American dollars

If your Daewoo is anything like the USA d a e w o o n u b i r a 2 L engine the lower control arms up bushings seem to go after a hundred thousand miles you'll know because suddenly when you accelerate and decelerate the car will veer to one side or the other I work when I replace those I had the front struts replaced also

Hello, it’s called a coolant pipe. I’ll have to go back and see what the part number was for the one I purchased. If you Google Chevy Aveo coolant pipe it will show you the results. I believe most of the year models are the same

Do you happen to have the part number for the S hose as well?
