Hi Mate I had a stripped timing belt too Changed the belt & water pump and valves were bent. Head off, new valves and new misc parts. Very easy job Now I can’t get the timing belt on right The bottom crank Mark is either too far forward or back No matter how many times I re-fit and re-fit the belt the crank Mark is always off... adjust the belt one tooth and the crank mark is off the other direction It starts, idles ruff and only has about 10% power. I’ve even been to check at the parts shop if the belt is not right. Any ideas? Should I forget the factory mark? And find top dead like you did in the video? Thanks mate

NOT a 1.6L! 1.6 is 16 valve, DOHC. Two camshafts; the one you're working on has one camshaft. It's either 1.4 or 1.2L.

1 motor both 1.4L same engine designation yet one has 104 tooth belt and the other 108 tooth. How fckin confusing.
