yeah i believe thats right too.. took my cap off testing what hes doing and the car almost turned off, i believe it has to have suction.

I have misfire and engine running lean. The upper intake manifold actuator is goosed and need replacing but would that cause lean condition?

Typically not, I’d check for other vacuum leaks

Yeah if you have high suction at oil filler cap replacing it should help

079103464F that should be the right number for the oil separator on this model, I usually end up removing the intake manifold while replacing this part. It’s easy enough to remove and a good time to check for carbon deposits on the intake valves usually anyway

Got a 2012 S5 with the 4.2 with 63k miles. Trying to find a "fishbite" misfire at idle (no codes) is there a way to turn off individual injectors with a scanner? I got the autel mk808s. Thank you

Do that have a live misfire counter? I have the ms909 and it does

@@EuropeanAutoRepair yes it does but it doesn't show any misfire but i can feel it. I feel it at idle. It showed once on no.2 but I can't really go off of that one time. Spark plugs are new NGK coils are also new but customer bought Chinese ones..

@peters1821 my guess is a injector issue, usually more noticeable at idle being how crucial spray pattern is at low flow, even though I’m not a fan of cheap coils usually it’s more of a misfire under load kind of thing when they are responsible

hi i got an audi A8 2012 4.2 fsi. got a bunch of problem if u or anyone can help me out. i have no engine light on dash car when starts its rough and shakes alot but after giving it 5 mins it goes normal. this happens sometimes and the other issue is got 2 codes car too rich at idle bank 1 and bank 2. i got these codes long back but car drives fine no issues but when i turn the ac on the engine power is weak and it stalls. so i think first car is driven 180k km needs timing chain and high pressure fuel pump. and also the engine cap has fuel smell in it. if any suggestions u could help me out pls

If it's shaking check the engine mounts first I had that issue I changed them and it's fine. Don't buy it from audi but from ebay it's way cheaper and it's a same part
