Looks like an easy repair!!! I do the screwdriver tip as well!!! A lot of the time I'll take the nut and put it in the socket with a piece of the packaging plastic over it so the nut is held in by the plastic!!! Just put the plastic over the nut and push it into the socket and now it holds in place!!! Keep Rocking it out!!!

Thanks great video. I have the same vehicle and it's been acting up only now after 5 years with no issues. It's randomly not starting or firing up. I think this may be the issue.

Newer ones have a better engine and no DPF but they have a Swiss cheese AWD system. I'll see what I do with mine once the warranty runs out. Cheers Zig

Having done this exact job myself, is not easy leaning over that engine bay to get to the various nuts. Don't know how you do this on a regular basis....

its a Good thing to save mates some stress and expensive repairs .about the only thing i like about these types of cars is it makes life interesting working on them they have soooo many issues, it keeps you sharp. I dont mind deisels for fuel economy while carrying heavy loads etc. Not a fan of common rail though too finicky fuel system wise and very pricey injectors and pumps, some of the hyundai pumps aren't too crash hot though, ill stick with toyota myself.

We remember when Diesels were the indestructible work horse and the fuel was cheap but times have changed on both levels.

ive built many higher production hho cellsfor my own vehicles and two freinds, theyre quite impressive on older deisels freind a mechanical engineer got me into it years ago, hes been doing it since 78 farmers here swear by it, saves them thousands, all its doing is increasing efficiency given fuel is not completely burnt in the combustion chamber , yeh we get lectured all the time people trying to teach us about the law of thermdynamics etc etc assuring us it cannot work, yet it does , ever seen the movie gashole, or stanley meyer vids or who killed the electric car. I love it all. I put a decent cell on a vetrans TD sanyong he bought a cheap rubbish one from the states made fk all gas maybe 200mls per min so as a present i built him one it made only 1 litre per min being small yet at 10 amps , i never heard the end of it he go on about improved throttle response, power and fuel economy, if you get it right it really works. His freinds wanted me to build them one, i said sorry i old jack was the exception yet i taught them to diy and shared decades of trial and error with them, its all on the internet by various guys, reg pye and gavin knoxx arent too bad.

Hi mate. I have a leak at the gasket on the egr cooler the u shaped pipe. I've just bought two new gaskets just want to know how to take the intercooler off. I see all the plugs that I have to disconnect and the two vac lines (wont mix them up) when I remove everything does any fluids come out ?

The EGR cooler has coolant running through it so that's no biggie and the rest is easy..You'll be right mate....Intercooler has 4 bolts..2 at the front and 2 at the firewall...Some oil may come out of it but not flow out..It's from blow by and is normal for a diesel...Cheers mate.
