I mean it really is kinda slow for being a v8, modern turbo inline 4s are often faster, and its thirsty as well, essentially slower and thirstier than the competition, so it makes sense that they have largely replaced it. I really love v8 cars though, but i kinda prefer the ones that act the part and have some performance to back it up, but then i dont have to run a fleet of 1000s of them each month so i can see why ford didnt make it like 400 hp (that would be a amazing car though.. but more power= more fuel) new cop cars have turbo v6 and have 400 hp, makes like 160 mph or more, bloody nightmare dont even bother unless you have a lambo or a busa and even then a speeding ticket isnt worth it.

The thing is out running a car in a race is one thing being fast enough to leave a car out of sight is another. The fact is the crown vics are still quick enough to keep average cars in sight even if it wouldn't outrun them in a race. In fact many officers have kept up with cars that are quicker on paper. Most average cars aren't quick tbh at least compared to what I'm used to. Btw can you run the Ford against the Camry? Should be similar times but would like to see how they stack up on the street.

Reservoir was probably just a hair low. I can almost guarantee he changed brake pads not long after this. Usually when the pads get toward end of their life on CVPI's and the brake fluid isn't topped off, you'll get the brake light come on when pulling. Throws the fluid from the split reservoir front to rear. Inducing the sensor to throw light on.
@cardinaloflannagancr8929

@@Galli1084That is probably right that's what set my brake light. From what I've heard when they went from disc drum to all disc they didn't increase capacity. So you can trip low fluid with still 50% pads left and that's only one end not even front and rear at 50.

That was actually the E-Brake lamp that illuminated on the left hand corner of the instrument cluster. That usually indicates that the E-brake is on, or the brake fluid level is low. But, assuming that the E-brake pedal is not activated and the brake fluid level in the master cylinder hasn't dropped significantly, the amount of amperage coming from the alternator could cause the instrument cluster to have an intermittent glitch occur. The car shouldn't lose any fluid at all unless if the braking system has a hydraulic leak. The fluid level only goes down a little bit when the brakes wear out. But, a leak in the braking system will cause the brake light to illuminate and you would have no brake pedal whatsoever. The Check Engine Light would be present on the far right hand side of the instrument cluster and the lamp is shaped like a two dimensional engine. I think Ford's online website for Professional Technicians only (FMCDealer/OASIS website) would have an EVMT wiring schematic of how the E-brake lamp is illuminated, and it will have different pinpoint tests in order to diagnose the correct issue.
