BIG thanks goes to Marc who was crazy enough to swap bikes with me and gave me the opportunity to ride his Duke!

Anytime I get on an Austrian one cylinder bike I'm fascinated with it. Not because these are especially good to ride but because of the fact that I struggle with their handling quite massively and STILL have tons of fun hooning around :)
---
The owner of the Duke installed the "error counter" to help improving his riding technique. You should press the counter once any time you make a mistake while riding. In order to prevent mistakes you first need to be aware of them. The counter helps a lot with that. You don't necessarily need a thing like that on your bike though. You could also press the indicator button for instance each time you've made a mistake. Just to help with getting more aware of your riding errors. If you're aware of your errors you can start working on them and soon they'll disappear.
I myself never used this technique but I'm guessing that my riding would have improved A LOT quicker if I did.

disclaimer: The digital speedometer was altered in post-production to make my riding look faster. I actually never exceeded 45kph while recording this video.
