Great video, man, this saved me. Doesn’t show all the steps but these are the key ones. I have an ‘09 Corolla and the horn hasn’t for ages. Just know that it is the black wire next to the light green coming directly down from the middle 10 amp horn fuse. Also, you cut and spliced too quick, I used an exacto knife to carefully cut out a section of the black insulation and connected it via a little tester clamp to the horn connector, then horn hanger to the frame (its ground). It worked. Eureka! If I had been wrong I could have just electrical taped the wire and been fine. Cut too early and it would have been a problem. I had tested the horn itself previously by connecting to the battery and the frame. Heard clicking from pressing the steering wheel so some electrical appeared okay.... just like you it seems like a corroded wire from the horn, and no wonder. Barely any protection at the front of the car and the wire is super thin and easy to break in cold weather or corrode... actually looks thicker in on the ‘10 in your video. Mine is like 24 or 22 gauge, super thin. Before splicing, I had to plan how to get it out of the fuse box... to not take apart the wiring harness, I just drilled a hole a couple of cm below the lid on the right side and above where there are two gray relay fuses are in your video (toward the side panel). I then fed the wire through plastic insulation (just like the harness) that I got from the parts store. Fed it through the hole, then spliced, electrical taped, and relay reseated. Have myself a little slack, and zip tied through the same path through the frame as the original horn wire, crimped and end that would tightly fit, applied some dielectric grease and electrical wired it shut. Then I chalked the hole in the fuse box with silicone. Lid fits. Looks professional. Couldn’t have done it without this video! Thanks so much!

Spot on! My daughter called Toyota and they told her it could be between $150 - 300 to fix the problem. It turned out to be a a corroded wire that connects to the horn just like you showed in the video and it only took ten minutes from start to finish. Thank you for saving her a lot of money for such a simple problem. Kudos!

I'll check that out, I don't know the US Corolla but mine in South America has two horns, one high pitched (that is working) and one low pitched (not working). Probably the wire is corroded too. Thanks for posting this video!

Thank you so much for this video! My wiring module, with the 3 fuses on top of it, where the horn relay is located, won't allow me to pull it out as far as yours did in this video. It seems like the module is being held down by wiring. I can get it to release from both sides, but I can't seem to get it to allow me to pull it out far enough so I can get to that black wire that you show at the bottom of yours. Any suggestions?

Trying to remember it's been a while since I did this one, did you get it yet? I'm rewatching to see if I remember, I do believe I had an issue also

Yes just two release tabs on either end, pry them back and find a way to pull up or pry harness at same time

@@RANS87IROCZ Yes, I'm able to get the sides to release with two screw drivers. I just can't seem to get the wires underneath to give me enough slack to get the box out of there to work with the wires underneath. Thanks for your response :)

Thaaanks man.. I was also having trouble finding it. Finally you saved my day. But now the thing is, how did you mananged to pop this whole thing out of the fuse box? I am trying but it's not coming out.

Hey hey wishing you luck there I just pulled up on it and used a flat head screwdriver to push the tab locks back on each end

@Ahsan Mughal I'm having the same problem. It seems like the wires underneath are holding the fuse box down so I can't lift it out and inspect it. Did you ever find a way to lift the fuse box out as far as @RANS87IROCZ was able to in his video here?

I’m having the exact same issues I just changed all the fuses on that part and I’m now hearing that click but still no horn, how can I get that wire and what type is it?

I can't remember, been a while since I did this? I believe I found bad wire under the relay box, you would need a test light or power prob to check around to see what lost what? It could be ground wire or positive power feed but I'm not sure what exact wire is bad without checking it
@RANS87IROCZ

Sounds like this though, my assumption? It's same or similar issue as here, and it would be the wire from there going to the horn is open, broken, and can't send the power to horn because of
