i think he should have answered the question as he has in many other interview afterwards and gotten it out of the way. i totally understand how in the beginning it must have been insufferable to have to answer questions about this kind of assault against his character and the ugly lie that he is a rapist, but his later interviews where he answers the questions about the sweden he just shuts it down so that other conversations can occur. he does a great job when he defends himself on this issue, every issue as a matter of fact and that is why the deep state was so eager to silence him as the have now. ugly. but again him walking out like that was the young julian who couldn't even stomach the conversation.

Good job. The main spokesperson of an international whistle-blowing organization decides to walk on an interview and all you can say is "I have to ask that question." I know very little about journalism professionally, but it seemed as though the interviewer was a bit inexperienced for this. Of course, she was under the pressure of cameras and such, but surely she could have worked around that single topic.

I wish I had been this journalist. I would have been so happy to interview Julian Assange. She is so ignorant that she is completely unable to interview him. Why does she say "I have to ask that question?" Are her bosses telling her what she has to do during this interview? Perhaps. Or maybe she's just influenced by the kind of journalism that has been glorified but should be condemned. Recently, I condemned a woman who said that Barbara Walters was a great journalist.

@estherV4N3V9

Perhaps you have changed your mind on this, after 9 years. But there are plenty of people who have been misinformed. 1. This was about WAR CRIMES. 2. The Times insisted in 2010 that it had vetted the docs to make sure it didn’t disclose any info that would risk lives, and Julian Assange claimed that not only did Wikileaks do its own review but its source did one too. The Pentagon admiddted that nobody had been harmed by the release. 3. More recently, an Australian journalist wrote: “[d]espite the vast technical resources of the Guardian and the New York Times (NYT), it was left to Assange to personally redact the names of informants and other individuals from the war logs, less than three days before scheduled publication. Davis said Assange was compelled to work through an entire night, during which he removed some 10,000 names from the documents." riseuptimes.org/2019/08/12/assange-australian-investigative-journalist-exposes-guardian-new-york-times-betrayal/
