In this video I'm going to replace the sunshade in my 2011 Audi S5. If you came across this video looking for how to remove the plastic trim pieces, rubber deflectors, sunroof, sunshade, or the overhead console, this video is for you.
The glue holding the sunshade's fabric to the side rails has come apart. I mostly garage my car so I'm surprised that is has come apart with such low mileage. Either it is due to the few occasions where it was park in the Texas sun, or this may be a common issue with Audi sunshades.
Either way, this was a fairly easy replacement as long as you know how to take off the plastic trim pieces covering the 6 torx screws holding in the sunroof. The trim pieces may be different for different year models. Let me know down in the comments if your trim is different. I would try sliding out the trim at first. If that doesn't work, then you can try pulling out on the middle of the trim while trying to slide it backward. If all else fails, then do what I did. It may bend the bracket a bit, but is super easy to bend back.
