Creative idea swapping the electronics out... that get's the job done. Great work

I only paid $750 for the battery and didn't know anything about it. Using my original electronics reduced any possibilities of trouble other than the cells themselves. The replacement battery wasn't that great but still a lot better than what I had. It goes 27miles on electric only now and has an average of 140mpg since bought it a year ago. I watched a bunch of your videos last night. JW😊

@@ww321 A bargain!! 27 miles is great. More than enough to go to the store. I want an electric car a LOT. One of these days. Appreciate you watching :) I'm watching through your videos as well, just great stuff all around. DD

Do you know what it is about the Volt or pure EVs that prevents us from just swapping the bad cells out for good ones and rebalancing like can be done with regular hybrids?

Availability of new identical cells and the way the battery packs are assembled.

I've heard the coolant ports referred to as quick disconnect. How do they come apart?

@@ww321 I doing get why there would be less reason to have available cells for an EV battery than a hybrid.

@78Gatorbait there's a little clip you pop out and then they pull out with some fighting.

@JosephHowes2003 they have to be the exact size as the original. Also the computer can see any difference in the new cells or it will throw a code. Like resistance difference. The cell groups aren't really made to take apart. They are in 48 and 24 volt groups.
