After having several 1000 bikes, after turning 72 , years young I decided to scale down to a lighter bike...The CBR 250 R was an ideal choice....

@@lowellgeddes8996 agreed. For me, the fun of a motorcycle is being agile and having maneuverability. So light weight bikes are my favorite

Got the same bike, with the same mileage, for the same price. I had a gs500e i rode for about 3 years, and its been about 6 years since I've gotten back on any bike. This one looked so nice, and i don't remember ever using the top end of my 500. I've had a kid since then, i figured the smaller engine would limit my ability to so stupid sh!t.

I have a 2013 REPSOL edition and I simply am astounded at the value. I am getting around 80 miles per gallon and the bike will surprise you with its power. I weigh 220 lbs and this thing can pull me like I'm a toy. It's not a rocket like a GSXR or anything but it can move pretty nice, and cornering? Holy hell this thing is agile and can lean down real low. Not much top end but who cares? I am so happy I bought this bike and drive it every day commuting to work. Love fueling it up and going a month before a refuel.

13 horse Power statement conflicts with the specifications elsewhere. I agree the beginner bike term is overused, how about light, easy, fun, agile, mild, reliable, environment friendly, flickable, ultimate motorcycle for all levels of talent.

I've got one! I repostioned the mirrors on the bars. Vast improvement. I had to make cut outs in the screen with a hot blade in order to turn the handlebars.

Importantly it looks the part enough that car drivers mostly assume you're gonna be much faster than them, so they don't try it on. I've had much bigger & faster bikes but this is so low hassle, fun using all the performance and the first bike I've had for a long time that I can easily flat foot. It scratches an itch for me for sure...
