Thank you. I can confirm that this fixes a sticky door. My rollers were not obviously broken like yours, but the door was extremely difficult to close. After replacement, it's smooth like butter.

An addendum to this problem. After replacing the roller I noticed the roller would fall out of the track. The track on my car was moving down as the door slid back. The reason was the nut was loose and allowed track movement and the sliding roller was falling off. So when you closed the door it pushed on the rubber. So I had to unsnap the plastic inside the car to reach and tighten that nut so the track would stay in place, solid. The door worked as new after that with tight track and a new roller.

Thank you! Great job. You told me what I need to know without a lot of extra talking. I only wish I had replaced this part before I broke the handle trying to slam the door harder and harder. Sigh.

Thanks very much for showing this helpful video. Removing the tail light also allows this roller to be cleaned and lubed properly :)

Did the new part last? I'd be afraid whatever caused the last one to break could ruin a new one too. Maybe there was some debris in the rail that messed up the original.

Nice video. I noticed the third pin was gone on your video. Did you drop it into the door? I did that to mine as well. I took the door apart to get it back out. Turns out you don't need to disassemble that piece at all. Just an fyi for anyone else who attempts the job. Don't mess with the one that has a nut. Leave it alone or you'll drop it in the door and cause yourself a huge headache.

@@sethhorning6876 I wish I had read this before I attempted this repair as I too lost the bolt as it fell inside the door! Glad to hear you were able to retrieve yours? Was it difficult? I am afraid of having to take my door apart!

@@sethhorning6876 if I leave that pin forever trapped in the door; do you know if it's possible to replace it with something else in the assembly? I can't even remember what it looked like since it fell so quickly inside the door.

unplug the rubber plug at the bottom of the door and use a magnet attachment to retrieve - I dropped both left and right sides.. 🙂

Part number: c513-73-2b0d I can't recall where I got mine, might have been local dealer. Type that part into Google and few places sell it online. I see: parts.mazdaofwooster.com/oem-parts/mazda-roller-assembly-c513732b0c

jacksdad2626 no plans for that at this time. Does not need the replacement yet. If yours really does need to be replaced, search for Mazda 3 videos as they are basically identical. I see one shows that you maybe able to do it without removing intake manifold.
