Just did the LCAs on a 2010. Legit took 2 hours on each side and if you read forum’s and comments some guys spending all day. Here’s how I did it Remove the calibers, caliber brackets, and rotors. This will completely lighten the hub to all you to maneuver it around when time to install the LCA. Disconnect the strut and stabilizer from the hub as well. Next put the ball joint in first. Repeat ball joint in first. Slip the bolt through install nut but don’t tighten. Now slide the LCA in from back to front. Spinning it in. Take a rubber hammer and tap it into place. Use a screw driver to line the the holes up, then put in your bolts buy turning them in and adding your nut. I read a Nissan techs recommendation on this buried in an Altima’s comments. Tried it and it worked perfectly! Good luck with it.

Thanks for the video. I have both lower control arms, outer tie rod ends, & sway bar links to do on my Maxima. I already have the parts, I just need the time & weather to do it all. Now I have more of a plan to go from since I've seen it done.

What do you think the cost could be for a mechanic to do it?

@micajahcobbs1809 I found the time to replace the full suspension on the front & rear of my 2014 Maxima. Struts, control arms, tie rod ends, sway bar links with bushings,rear shocks, & rear sway bar links with bushings. I'd have to say at least $800 for a shop to do it all at a minimum. It was $100 to have a shop align it afterward. It'll also depend on where you are... Major big city versus little podunk town will have different hourly rates. I'm not in either, but a good-sized Navy town. It wasn't that hard to do without a lift either & the car rides SO much better it's ridiculous.

@@CcxbbsMy local shop quoted me a little over $1,800 parts and labor just for the front lower control arms. Add in more steering/suspension components, and you could expect to pay upwards of $5,000 for everything

Shouldn’t the car be jacked up to the correct ride height before torquing down the three bolts? Great video and explanation by the way 👍🏾

Don’t the joints get grease? Did the car need alignment sine the strut was (partially) removed? Thanks
@BIGWILLSCARCARE

@George Zeck Not necessarily unless the bolt has a lobe on it but the best thing is to put a reference mark the head of the bolt and the strut mounting bracket so you put it back in the same spot. Thanks for watching please Subscribe if you haven't already

Honestly I have the same exact same car and I change everything my self and you do not have to puff those things from the strut. .. nooooo. That’s too much work all I did was wiggle it I. Comfortable it has to be comfortable you cannot put it in with stress or if it’s tight going in .. your doing it wrong one side at a time. I did it to both side YOU JUST HAVE TO KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING ..
