I'm sitting here going through these videos, and without a doubt, it's the best entertainment on the web for me. Two of the best broadcasters hands down.

The good old days, back when the broadcast was fun, even when the Sox were getting blown out. Now, we get bland O'Brien thanks to our courageous owners and a NESN turd.

With all due respect to Dave O'Brien, Don and Jerry had an unprecedented chemistry. Sean McGrail and Tom Werner would probably have broken up Lennon and McCartney, and explained (as they did with Don and Jerry), "we decided to make a change." That certainly demonstrates the total lack of reasoning behind the decision. Red Sox telecasts have not been the same since.

@@bobscott7127 Glad to hear another voice sharing my sentiments. I've heard varying accounts of how the whole thing went down, but one thing is clear: It is NOT what the fans wanted. I do not believe an increase in ratings occurred after or from Orsillo being replaced. Owners won, just as they usually do. We lost.

Never will understand the firing of Don, the ratings drop was due to the sox poor performance, NESN made him the scapegoat, such a shame!!! REMDOG RIP you will be remembered and missed for a generation!!!!

@@davidgmailman7395 Some years ago, the South Park TV cartoon show had a funny bit which featured the cliche catchphrase, "They took our jobs." Well, Sox owners and the NESN head, "Took our joy." Blithering idiots...the lot of 'em...

It’s 7-0 and it didn’t matter… spending 3 hours with Don and Jerry every night was something to look forward to. Now, we have bland broadcasters who continuously complain about game length. Like, that’s what I want to hear: an unfunny and uncharismatic empty seat that tells us to hate baseball. 🤣 RIP Remdawg. Miss ya in Boston, Don.
