Notice all replacement parts are non-OEM ... unless you know exactly they are good match and quality, you are looking for problem in the long run .... I've been doing brakes for years on many cars subaru, toyota, mazda, honda .. etc.

Help !! The break pad that goes in the inside. Is it always supposed to have a clip that holds it in place in the cylinder thing ? Help !!!

I don't thinks so, the originals didn't have it, but the pads I bought had them. It is the first time I've seen those to be honest.

Hi! I’ve been researching how to replace the pads and rotors on my own, but don’t seem to see any guides for new RDX models. I own a 2019 RDX. Would it be the same exact steps as the older RDX models?

Upside down? There's no upside or downside on the brake pads... They are not directional.... LOL.... But thanks for watching.

Thanks for posting this. Getting ready to do this exact job. What paint did you use?

For the caliper holding bracket: I first used a rust paint, then an Armor Coat , Gloss Black, Enamel Interior/Exterior spray paint as a second coat. And it's between you and me (my wife shouldn't hear that) I used the toaster oven to expedite the drying time 😅

Very helpful, caliper piston compress only, no rewind? How long did the job take approximately.? Not accounting for paint dry time

A special rewind tool is totally unnecessary. Rear brake piston can be compressed just like the front one. You then adjust the parking brake (if needed) through the brake adjustment hole. It took me 2-3 hrs to do all 4 wheels.

Sorry, I don't remember as this wasn't the first time i changed brake pads. The ones I replaced in this video were semi-metallic.
