Superb repair and great tips. Really appreciate the tip on tell-tale clicking sound when steering is being turned or full lock - suggesting CV joints are worn. I'm getting that on my 167,000 mile Golf.

See another video of viabration in the front duribg acceleration. I have 2017 police explorere 225,000 mi. Slight viabration at speeds over 75 mph. Thought tire balance.. will see.

I had aftermarket axles installed about 2 months ago and now have vibration accelerating over 50 mph. I suspected my wheels needed to be balanced. Had my wheels balanced and it still vibrates. Plan is to now swap to OEM axles.

I have a 2013 Explorer 67,000 miles an I am getting a hard clunking sound when taking off and turning. My CV boots are in good condition. I have new stabilizer links and struts. I am thinking the CV joints have gone bad. Am I correct?

Does it make sort of a rapid fire clicking sound when turning the wheel all the way to one side and simultaneously accelerating? If so, then yes, cv axles are going bad.

@@jackhfletcher It is more like a hard thunking sound. No clicking. I forgot to mention that it also has new lower control arms on both sides from FoMoCo.

Had the same issue and it was aftermarket struts.

This is why I’d rather drive a solid front axle Jeep 🧐
