2016 toyota corolla making creeking/ groaning noises while slowly going over bumps/driveway and turning. The lower control arm bushings (front control arms, rear bushing) are making this noise. Grease them with brake caliper grease (extremely sticky and weather resistant) and your car will be back to quiet like when you bought it.
EDIT:
- CRC Industries 05359 is the grease I used.
- Yes, you can grease the bushings without removing a single bolt.
- If you aren't comfortable getting under your car, take it to any auto shop, show them this video and pay them 30$ and they can do this in 15 mins.
- If this works for you, post a comment so everyone knows it works!!
- One guy said his control arm bolts were loose, this is uncommon, but make sure they are tight before assuming anything else is wrong.
I hope this video collectively saves hundreds of thousands of dollars paid to dealerships that think they have us in their pocket.
**5000 views assumes 5000 people have had this issue. If their local dealership diagnoses "bad control arms" and charges the customer, thats approximately 820$ lowest out the door for labor and 2 control arms x5000= 4.1 million$!!! Greedy F-ers!!
