Roughly how much does it cost to replace and fit new DMF + Clutch Kit on a 2009 Audi A5 2.0 TDI (6 Speed Manual) ? Clutch judders when moving off from first gear or if stationary in traffic and if clutch is held for too long the car starts to move by itself and clutch gets into this half stuck position. You seem to know exactly what your dealing with. I'd like to know if you can also come to Cambridge?

Now clutch feels light under foot, pedal don't bounce back fully and i can't put catlr in gear. Could it be those different type of clutch making issue? Tha K you for any response

And i see alot of people saying you need to use Special equipment for the SAC Clutch to preload it before putting it on, my Set arrived few days ago and im gonna swap it tomorrow, and my pressure plate isnt Preloaded, but never have i seen a mechanic preload it with special equipment, what do you think?

Kevin, I thanked you before but having just tackled this on the drive, I must thank you again. Knowing ahead of time details like how high to raise the car, gradually compressing the o/s driveshaft cup back in [it felt like it wouldn't go], the gearbox angle when dropping it down and your technique for solo manhandling it back up/in [bloody heavy!] was invaluable. Trying to work that last one out with that lump of steel & aluminium resting on my chest would have been a nightmare. Not to mention the risk of damaging the new clutch if you get it wrong. Thanks again.

Just a quick one, how would a lightened dual flywheel on a Volkswagen Golf 2.8L V6 4MOTION Mk4 2002? 02M gearbox. I use it as a daily driver. It has 185k km original clutch. I would like to mate it with a Luk clutch. Thanks in advance.
@WMCS

I wouldn’t do it if I was you. I’d stick to the dual mass flywheel. You’re looking at direct engine torque into the gearbox. It’s too much for the main shaft bearing to take. Your gearbox will soon start playing a rattling tune.

@@WMCS A quick question: You didn't use the reset tool that LUK recommend on their self adjusting clutches. I can see the 3 yellow springs are compressed suggesting the clutch is reset out of the box, so is that reset tool procedure not necessary if those 3 yellow springs are compressed indicating the self adjustment mechanism is already fully reset?

Hi Kevin. It's been a while... Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that u could let the right axle in the ball bearing - no need to undo the big screw. Only unmount it on the gear box side (the 6 screws) + the flange in order to take the gear box out. Of course you need to undo the bottom 3 screws that hold the lower arm attached to the wheel nuckle, in order to be able to push the inside part of the axle away from the flange. Or maybe u could get away even without undoing the 3 screws from the lower arm at all? What say U? Could be a bit of a time saver...

Also would be very interesting to see (a close shoot) where exactly do you put the hydraulic lifter (jack) in the center, under the car at the start and the end of the job, to lift and lower the car on/from the jack stands. The exact body part of the car... 10X

Because these bolts are not of high quality and they tend to oxidise and rust in the threads. The rubber grease stops that from happening. Just for whoever works on it in the future.
