Test drove this for my 15 year old and it’s a fun car. I couldn’t think of a better fun yet PRACTICAL car for a person or small family. For reference, I own a 99 Miata with a 6spd and LSD. Great videos, Mate!

These are great cars. I'm an older guy and have a 2016 with the same trailer hitch for my bike rack. I can get a kayak inside with the seats down. Got 33 mpg on a road trip and it handles corners well. The manual is fun to drive, nice stereo, and comfortable seats.

If you’re looking for a decent exhaust that has great sound at idle and comes to life after 2500 rpms I’d recommend the one I got. The Tsudo s2 catback spec exhaust. Complete bolt on, two large resonators to eliminate all tin sounding rasp, with a 2.5 inch full stainless pipe from end to end, with a 4 inch tip that comes with a silencer if desired. Honestly it’s not obnoxiously loud, few people have complimented how it’s easier on the ears than most other exhausts. It’s just a touch louder on start up but the exhaust note is quite similar to something like a subaru, not exactly like but close to it. It’s also about 14 pounds lighter, comes with all the gear you need. You’ll probably notice how the vvt hits better once you install, personally I could only feel the vvt change timing only in second gear and after that it was pretty dull, but with the better exhaust flow and the weight reduction you’ll definitely notice a change in acceleration. Hopefully this gave you some insight on another exhaust for you. I’ve owned mine on my manual 16 tc for about four months now and I’m happy with it, I will say the first two days it is just a bit louder but that’s because it’s not packed down yet with carbon from the exhaust

Try launching the tC with traction control off, it mite help alittle. Oddly enough I find it kinda weird and frustrating that you have to put the tC in "park" in order to disable traction control and hold down the button to fully disengage anti slip. I drive an automatic 2016 scion tC so idk how different the year models are between 2014 15 and 16. I do find the paddle shifters helpful as well.

Ps. I encourage anyone wanting to buy a tC to get the 2016 year version. I find it to be a superior version of the car, but be warned that finding a 2016 scion tC can be a challenge if you're looking for a stock/low milage in mint condition. Chances are you gonna be financing the car

in the scion's case the 0-60 is faster with the manual. also its msrp was $1000 cheaper than the automatic

Im 19 and own a 10 series tC, its a sweet car for the price that gets decent mpg and maintenance costs aren't high. definitely isn't cut out for too much racing tho unless you do some work under the hood, its perky on acceleration when at a stop but not a fast car overall

Racing and 4 cylinder engines don't make sense... Go big block at least 8 cylinders, if you're going to race get away from the small stuff.

How reliable is this car? And what Toyota engine does it use?
@paulstake

I don’t think anything else is much better! It has the 2.5L 4 cylinder engine Toyota uses in their Camrys among other vehicles...

@@paulstake great, one more question...do you think the older scion tc (2006-2010) is more reliable/better in a way?
@paulstake
4 жыл бұрын
Cynic it’s probably just as reliable. The newer ones is faster, has bigger wheels and I think it looks better... But if you like the way it looks and you can get a good deal, it’s a great car!

Stick with the 2010+ with the 2.5. Previous gen 2.4s did have hit or miss problems with oil consumption.

@@mdroproductions I have a 2013 tc and it doesn't burn oil but it has a leak. Leaks just slow enough I don't really have to worry about it. Just regular maintenance.
