I love the idea of this bow. would love to get one at some point. personally, I don't mind the 6 & 3/4 brace height. that's the BH on my Hoyt Charger. now, I only target shoot (& the guys at my club are ever telling me how a 7" BH is better for target shooting - more forgiving & less twitchy is what they say. I don't doubt them. but my scoring sits around 86.5% with my bow. I may not win any or many trophies, but as long as this week's score beats last weeks score, I'm happy. I really only shoot against myself). I need to research the model I'd be looking for as I'd be after a 50-60lb DW @ 27" DL(60lb is the max DW you can legally shoot at club or competition here in the uk. & should the day come I must rely upon my bow to feed me & mine, I'm told 60lb is ample for the roe & red deer, which is the largest game we have here. besides, thus far, I feel like 60lb is about as much as I can draw, aim & shoot well). thanks for another great review. your Hoyt Charger vid was HIGHLY instrumental in my choosing that particular bow. keep up the good work, long life & the health to enjoy it to you & your folk ;)

it's so funny a few years ago there was a bunch of naysayers going on about the bow Turbo that is mounted to the cable guard pushing your cables forward to preload your limbs and if you look at this bow Hoyt has done exactly that. I actually had Avo turbo on a BowTech Allegiance 27 inch draw 68 pounds shoot and 314 feet per second will a 365 grain Arrow which was faster at the time then the other boat that I had which was the PSE Omen at the same specs.

Twig 'N' Timber Archery and Outdoors Just got my Nitrum 34" last week. I tried it alongside all of the 2015 models of Elite, Matthews, Prime, and the other Hoyts. The Nitrum series is absolutely amazing. The only real con I could give you is that it was too large for the case I previously had! When you try this bow (if you haven't already), you will understand... Of course, archery comes down to personal feel and opinion. Other people like other bows, and that's fine... I'm not a Hoyt fanboy by any means, but this bow has blown my mind.

andrewford80 i know the feeling bud. am just biding my time til my lottery comes up so I can fill a wall with Hoyts lol ;) as you say, either one most likely won't let you down. I think the general consensus is that even an average Hoyt bow is probably as good as the best of any other make. that was what decided me on the Hoyt Charger (my first proper bow. bought some no-brand £160 stick-&-string job first & wish I'd saved myself the bother. it shot down the line to the target but the shot puller to the right, no matter how much you moved the sight toward the mis-shot, the sight could not go far enough to correct the shot. think it something to do with the leftward turn of the bowstring while drawing) but any bow stamping the brand on it is going to be halfway decent. if you choose Hoyt, you're going to get a REAL gem of a bow ;)

You'll get better results from the number 2 cam. A guy on ArcheryTalk tested this last year with the Carbon Spyder 30 which was using the same Z5 cams and found the speed was faster on the number 2. Here's a link if you are interested (he has a few KZitem videos he did showing his test): www.archerytalk.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2218569&p=1069830701#post1069830701

Charles Coleman A little bit, the #3 cam is a little smoother, but the #2 cam is gonna give you about 10fps more if it is anything like how the Z5 cams were functioning on the 2014 models. From what I have read the #2 cam has the most aggressive cam profile out of the Z5s.
