i picked up one of these last year, and i am glad i did. i love the thing. super accurate and awesome draw cycle, quiet, and doesn't get ice cold in the winter. I am a carbon bow guy from here on out. they would sell this bow for more and it would be worth it.

I have the icon dlx, and I just purchased the Dimond deploy sb and both of them are awesome bows. I have a couple of top end bows and bowtech and Dimond are right up there with the top end bows.

Just wanted to let you know I found an item called the Takedown Stabilizer Elbow on Ebay for $15.00. You attatch it between your bow and stabilizer. It allows you to fold your stabilizer so you can put your bow in your case without taking it off. It will ad a lil weight though. I just got it and I really like it.

Great review, I picked one up 2 weeks ago and can't put it down. This is my first bow ever and it is really accurate. On my second day i "robin hood" an arrow and broke a few nock's off. Can't wait for more videos to come out about this bow!

Nice review! just this bow a few weeks and its awesome. What kind of case do you use? I got a Plano case and I have to take the stabilizer off to get it in there?

good vid/review. could we hear more about the arrow rest you use?

..just me I use a ripcord, "Code Red" ripcordarrowrest.com/ripcord-codered However, there are tons of good drop-away rests out there. It's really just a matter of preference. Lots of the brush or whisker rests are nice too, but they steal a couple of fps from your arrow by most accounts.

I purchased this bow at local hardware store. Sales guy said it comes stock with #50 limbs, and if I wanted it #70 I'd have to buy different limbs. Merchandise tag says can be adjusted to #50, 60 & 70 lbs?
@Samyouell11510

Jim Aldridge sales guy lied to you. They should have asked you from the get go as to what draw weight you'd wanna use.... My dealer ordered mine for me with 70 pound limbs.. maxed out it's at 71

@@Samyouell11510 if it is rated at 70# how low can it be taken down on draw weight on those limbs?

Just wondering what the specs are of the arrows youre shooting. I just got an ICON and I'm looking to upgrade my arrows also. I'm trying to get a feel on what's going to shoot better.

+85trainer I'm using Gold Tip Hunter 340 XT arrows. They're 65/85 arrows at 8.9 grains/inch. They're mid-grade carbon arrows with +/- 2grain weight tolerance and +/- 0.003" straightness. Total arrow weight with a 100grain field point is ~ 390grains. this put me at 304fps with 29" draw and 72 lb draw weight. These arrows were ~ $100/dozen. There's lots of reasons to choose different arrows. Some folks think a heavier arrow will pack more punch downrange. A lighter arrow will have higher velocity off the bow. Straightness and weight specs might give you a tighter group. The arrows i use are very "mid-range" for weight, tolerance, straightness and price, but i'm quite happy with them.

+Brandon Senn how do you have a 72 lb draw weight if the bow only comes in 50, 60, and 70 lb draw weights?
@blsoutdoors6815

It's a 70lb model that measured slightly higher when we cranked it up and tested it at the bow shop.

pay a hundred bucks more for the addons, and then replace them all? How is that worth it?
@BrandonSenn

jboy lightning - seems $100 is a pretty good deal for a rest, quiver, peep, sight and stabilizer. I put the rest and sight on another bow. Maybe it’s not as good of a value for you but it worked out fine for me :)

Here's the cool thing about the weight, if you take 1 lb off the riser and add it to the end of the stabilizer the bow actually becomes more stable.
@blsoutdoors6815
9 жыл бұрын
forrest225 that's the hope - it's worth noting that the stabilizer that comes in the RAK kit has a threaded end to add extra weights if you desire!

Wow! One more year and poor Bowtech still fails to reveal anything awesome. Why not save the money and buy a Mathews or Hoyt?
@rickm2647
8 жыл бұрын
Mathews would be a step backward IMO. A Hoyt, that's a different story. I have the 2016 Hoyt Carbon Defiant, and that is the most awesome bow I have ever shot. The PSE and Bowtech carbon are not even on the same level.
