Really easy. Use long needle nose pliers. Ip onto the pipe and leverage against the exhaust manifold to push the end of the hose off of the pipe and the compression sleeve. The the clamp on the other end and then replace the hose and clamps. I had the Pex pliers and clamps from another job. They fit so I used them. Instead of 2.00 per clamp it was way less cost and I didn't have to go buy some. I just used what I can. Glad this helped.

Watch your valve cover and intake manifold for thew PCV diaphragm failing in the intake manifold. Will consume oil qwhen the diaphragm fails. Take the tube off of the port between cylinders 2 and 3 on the manifold and look with a flashlight to see if the orange diaphragm is missing. Valve covers are big problems also. Belt tensioner fail and shred the drive belt. You have to remove the passenger side engine mount to replace the belt. If over 100k .Iles replace the tensioner at the same time. Watch for water outlets failing and breaking. Both drivers and passenger sides will fail.

Hi thanks for the video. How did you separate the rubber hose from the metal end of the new NAPA part? Does the hose portion itself not come with the same rubber to metal connector as the GM part?
@richsmobileautorepair9203

I ground the the compression fitting down just so thin enough that I could cut the metal apart you can do it on each side of it 180° apart then you can pry the ends apart taking the tension off of the hose and remove the clamp and then take the hose off

Hey i just watched your video and i have the same issue with my 2014 Chevy cruze lt 1.4 engine. I went to order the hose from napa and i see that they sell the whole part with the hose and mental piece attached. Is that the correct part? Or can you get the hose separately?

Yes. Grind the clamp off of the end with the hose. On each side 180 degrees apart. Then peel the clamp back to take pressure off of the hose. Take hose off.

I hate my Chevy Cruz. I feel like I’ve had more problems with it than anything else in the world. I cannot wait to get a Honda again.

I could understand that. Valve covers and intake manifolds. Water outlets and hoses. Honda with CVT transmissions can be an issue. Some had engine blocks that cracked without being over heated Generally Honda has a higher quality of engineering and manufacturing

Hello friends, I have a question about the Chevrolet Cruze 1.4 turbo 2014. If you can help me, when I turn it on in the cold in the morning, it has a pain and I can't understand that it is no longer heated

If something lost in your message. It has a pain and I can't understand that it is no longer heated? Are you saying when it's cold and you start the vehicle that never warms up and gets hot out of the vents? If you're low on antifreeze or coolant you won't get heat out of your vents. The heater core won't get coolant in it from the engine if you're low on coolant. I would look for coolant leaks pressure test the system if you can. Is it low on antifreeze and if it is look for a coolant leak most likely this hose or the thermostat housing or the water Outlet.

Looks like the oil inlet for the turbo is leaking as well.

Hey I have a 2014 Cruze car was overheating and was still driving because phone was dead and checked under the hood and water outlet was busted which had coolant coming out of it. But after I fixed that the car won’t turn on anymore. just clicks once and has a humming sound in engine when holding it on start. Checked alt, starter/relays and those seem to be good do you have any idea on what it could be?

Maybe drove a mile or 3 while it was overheating. Got it home fixed water outlet etc. and it wouldn’t start anymore. when I turn key to “start” the lights on the dash turn off until I release from the “start” position. Please help🙏🏽

@@Murdahz762 put a socket and ratchet on the crank bolt and see if the engine will rotate by hand using the ratchet. If engine isn't seized sounds like the starter is bad. One click would be solenoid but the starter isn't rotating.

Can I drive the car a couple miles with the pump broken just a little piece broke from the hose

Everything run is a risk. A pressurized system will push more coolant out of that leak. A loose radiator cap can buy you more time. Pressurized systems give you increased boiling protection. Ive limped cars home before. A couple miles it would be warmed up to use the heat from the heater core blowing out of your vents to check if you have lost too much coolant and need to shut it off immediately. Most likely you'll be okay. Its all about how well you execute this short trip. Fill cooling system up. Start and get to destination ASAP and turned off.
