Great freeway blaster and love the colour. With exhaust these are sleeper beasts

Probbaly one of the best sport GT cars you can buy. Big, comfy, V8, definitely way better looking than any modern BMW. Will probably last forever too.

I have a 2015 with 152K on it... zero issues other than usual maintenance. Love it!

Coming from a 2011 ISF, I can understand the added 180 lbs weight. Other than luxury, safety, the chassis is so much better on the RCF. So much stiffer, wider and lower to the ground. The ISF was narrow and tall while being the same length so it got affected over bumps with some shuddering, but also rolled excessively everywhere. RCF chassis being much more stiffer, wider and lower, is much more planted and predictable over uneven surfaces. The chassis deals with it so much better and also stays flat under heavy turns. The RCF 2UR engine is also a masterpiece that turned the ISF V8 up to 11 with 56 HP more and also a much higher redline. All in all, I fully get this car being a long time Lexus owner.

Don’t let you downshift into 1st unless you’re under 3k? One of the reasons I chose the e90 m3 over this, it shifts when I want it too. I can’t stand the computer overrides that don’t let you shift if it doesn’t think you need to be in a certain gear at a certain speed/rpm

Plus Lexus think they’re gods gift to earth. Their Lexus tax is worse than a fucking supercar. It’s ridiculous. 20k exhaust that cost 5k for literally every other car on the road. 10k for a supercar but the rcf that same exhaust is 20k. They’re not worth it. Plus they’ve have the same interior on literally all models for 20 years

It looks like the big brother to the GR86. Similar side vents and even rear fender tab design, but twice the price, twice the power etc. I bet both would be nice to have.

I have an IS500 l, but I am considering an FL5 CTR and I have a question since you are driving the RC-F. Keep the IS500 or get the FL5 or potentially an RC-F?

Good review. You can switch the skins for the gauge cluster, btw. If you were close, i would let you drive mine with proper aggressive tires and stiff sidewalls for the transitions. Makes a world of a difference. It would feel totally different. Tires are very important for RCF and that one has bad tires that were mismatched. Being an RCF Carbon and TVD owner, it is an incredible double duty car. Pulls up to 1.5g in the turns and I take it to the track and also haul my two small kids for joyride. You should also drive one with TVD and play with the modes. It feels very small. The track edition has weight reduction with CCB brakes, lighter wheels etc. The 4000 lbs weight is largely because of the very stiff chassis they were targeting. Also, 389 ft lbs and not 289 ft lbs.

I think you’ll find the LC500 performance pack to be much better than the RCF

How does the handling compare to a lighter coup such as the GR86? Is something lighter and cheaper much more fun still without the glorious V8?

Resale value isn't any better than an M3/M4 of the same year. They actually depreciate more than expected since enthusiasts don't clamor for them due to the transmission.

RCF are still high priced unless you looking at ones 70k+ miles. Does hold value better then M3/M4 I sell these cars all the time. People still consider bmw unreliable and Lexus reliable regardless of transmission

lol! not really. go compare a same low mile 2015 RCF vs a 2015 f82 M4.they do not depreciate fast at all. in fact it holds its value better than any other lexus model. with the lexus your not gonna have all the fun s55 bmw issues either, spinning crank hubs, leaky valve covers, charge pipes that can and will blow at any time, leaky intercooler that will be feeding your block water for awhile before you even notice, stupid battery that cost over 1,000 dollars. thats why i ditched my m4 and bought an rcf.
