Audis virtual cockpit is the best of all car brands.

I played with the display and looks cool but I was missing a center console display and more dedicated buttons. Didn't think it was that functional to have everything in 1 place at the driver side only. I agree visibility just seems bit better higher up.

Alex, I really appreciate your video! I only wish that you showed which button you were pressing and the resulting change to the screen, or perhaps if you zoomed back a bit you could get which button on the steering wheel was being utilized and the screen could be shown at the same time.

Alex; moment of truth. I am 71. Given that and the fact that I've driven truck over 5 million miles and yet to hurt anyone, now retired I'll be buying nothing new, (with luck) and can't imagine actually using all the peripheral stuff on cars of the last few years. Question has to be; how often do new owners, after a "learning period" actually use any of these features? I ask cause I haven't a clue. All superfluous and money for nothing in my opinion which is meaningless I'm sure.

+ruizhernandeztrustfi By the time most people learn half of it, the car will be turned in at the end of the lease and its replacement will have at completely new system to learn. Ask any car salesman how many customers learn more than 20% of their car's infotainment systems. Just look at computer users. They upgrade every two or three years to get the lightest, stylish laptop/convertible/pad or whatever with octo-core processors to email, tweet and play Candy Crush Saga. Stupid kids are into playing simulations instead of reality. I've seen high school students turn down rides in a Pilatus 12 NG executive turboprop because they've already flown one in Microsoft Flight Simulator. I find people drawn to moving maps worrying because they're obviously not interested in looking out the fucking windshield and driving. This kind of display plus lane assist, blind spot monitoring, radar cruise, night vision assist and every other piece of electronic junk on today's cars gives drivers no reason to look out the windshield and drive.

+James Tennier For most people under the age of 30, we grew up with technology and understand how to use it. Most of us have smart phones and computers and have used them daily since childhood. Because of that, we can adapt to and learn new technology quickly. Most of these features in this car would become second nature after just a week of ownership. You as a truck driver can drive a truck better than anyone my age, because of your experience. You know exactly when to apply the clutch and move the gear lever to get the perfect shift every time. You know what a properly running truck feels like, and know immediately when something isn't working properly. Trucking just comes naturally to you now. The same thing applies to us with technology. It just takes time and experience.

Most people under 30 can't take a shit unless they have an app for it on their phones. The features on today's cars are mindless distractions as well as something not worth paying for if you plan to keep your car longer than a couple of years. What's the pint of spending thousands on an infotainment/navigation system when it will be 3 generations old in 24 months?
@mitchellrusk

I like nice things, and don't plan on keeping my car for more than a few years. Everyone has their hobbies. Some people travel the world, some people buy a vacation home, etc. I budget for a new car because I enjoy having one with the newest features. It's worth paying for to me. If you don't want all of these features, don't buy it. You can still buy cars without them. The world is always going to change, and technology has only accelerated it. Hating on change isn't going to make it stop, so you might as well embrace it.

Alex, this is a great video game disguised as an automobile. I say if you want to play with your electronic device, do it but not while driving. This will only contribute to accidents. An Audi should be a driving experience without all the distractions of these fancy features.
