This is the best singles advice that I've heard in all my years of being single. This was so encouraging.

My third video in one night. It's getting late, but I cannot go to bed without listening to these. My only wish is that I had watched this earlier in life. I'm glad I have a posture to listen and accept this wisdom.

My husband left me for another woman. I'm single now and living my best life. I have known moments when I was in God's presence continuously for about 5 hours straight. Total bliss!! God's presence is sweeter than that of any man on earth.

It's time the church realized that not everybody is meant to be married or even wants to be married. Stop referring to singleness as a "season" as if it's inevitably a second best option. For some of us, who are single by choice it's not a "season" it's our life. Singles are often consigned to the background of church life, as if they're not capable of serving unless they are "completed" by marriage. Totally untrue.

Leni G. Oh wow sister I am sorry that is emotion you have experience I can honestly I do not have that feeling at One Community. However I am a single who hopes this is season for me because I am interested in marriage. Are you currently in a community of singles who are content with singleness? I think there are a lot of singles who hope it is a season but that is good point you made.

Hi Leni G! Check out our most recent video on our channel. It's the first message in Pastor's new series. It may answer your concern you shared earlier. Have a great evening!

My only issue is when men continue to be absent from these spaces, only half of the conversation is being had. Women want to know what men think but when men do not show up, women continue having the conversation with each other and telling each other what men think, when if men were present they would be able to tell their own side of the story.

Jesus the founder of the Church was single. Paul was single as were the 12 Apostles. There is no shame in singlehood. GOD says they are better able to serve.

There is no shame ... but there is pain. A life of unwanted, prolonged singleness is difficult, frustrating, painful, and devoid of certain blessings that only the married receive. Sure, you may or may not have time to "serve more" .... but you will also have lonely nights, no family of your own, the lack of the affection and companionship of a spouse, and also the seemingly endless and maddeningly frustrating battle for sexual purity for which there is no release and expression that is not categorically sinful. It will often feel as though it is not a fair trade. Do not mistake me. I am not questioning God. I have no doubt that God is good and sovereign and desires what is best for His children. But C.S. Lewis said it best when he wrote, "we are not necessarily doubting that God will do what is best for us; we are wondering how painful the best will turn out to be." And for anyone dealing with truly prolonged, unwanted singleness, it is like picking up a bloody cross and following Christ. But He did, after all, say that true discipleship would be like that ....

@@Arcanon10 I share you’re experience of prolonged singleness I agree that the pain of those who have to live their lives alone although they desire marriage is never mentioned. I feel like I don’t fit in anywhere at the church in North America. It’s even harder when marriage itself has become an idol in Christian communities. I learned to be open receiving the joy that God wants to give me, but if I have to carry the cross as you say, I would much prefer to walk the journey with a spouse to share my life with. The struggle is real God bless ❤
