I ride an '04 Low Rider with a clear windshield that I can see over. And nothing in the way of me seeing the road right in front of my tire. I rode an Electra Glide Ultra las summer and I hated the fact I couldn't see the road for 6-8 ft in front of the tire. Way too much shit in the way with that heugh windshield and all the gauges and leather pouches in the way. My Dyna has the Sportster front end and I like that, clean looking, no clutter. I like the foot boards I put on too, but NEVER liked a toe/heal shifter, so I have just the toe shifter. You have a very hot lookin bike and we both like to keep it simple and clean. Happy Easter brother.

Beautiful bike! 👍 I made the mistake of sitting on one of these at the dealer a few months back and now I want one. I've sat on numerous big twins in the last 25 yrs and I've never been able to flat foot any of them until this one with a super reach seat. It shocked me! 😳 My hubby was like "I bet you do want one, who wouldn't but learn to ride your sportster, first"! 😜 He has a few Harleys but generally rides his Heritage. It's been lowered and with a super reach seat, I could flat foot it, too. 😁 I really like the cat's eye dash and the half moon floorboards on the Slim's among many other features. Your's is particularly pretty, thanks for sharing your bike and your faith. We are Christian's too.

Awesome! And thank you for compliment on Betsy! The sad part is that’s her parking spot, outside . Yes I have a tarp up to make a shaded parking spot, but after one year being parked outside, I’m noticing more rust. Oh well, she’s still a bute! Thanks again, and go get yourself a slim! God bless. 😎👍

Nice looking bike ! I own a Softail blackline à few years older than your Slim with V&H staggered long quiet series (not so quiet in fact but such a deep throaty rumble. ...) I work at night, coming out of the underground parking lot at 1:15 or 2:15 am... I know someday I'll receive a bucket full of icy water (or worse) on my head ! 😂 Stay/drive safe !

Didier Lévy my last apartment complex I lived in for 7 years, I had to move out because a family thought it was ok to actually physically assault me several times simply because they didn’t appreciate how loud my bike was. So yeah, I know the feeling all to well, however, I sure do appreciate the sound as I’d riding down the street. Rubber side down. 🙏

@@simplybiking Bet you do ! Fortunately, I do not live at the same place where I park my bike ! Anyways, to keep the neighbourhood sleeping, I recently bought a small honda (cb125f) as quiet as a sleeping baby, excellent for home to work rides, but nothing compares to riding a Harley ✌ (by the way, my windscreen helps a lot on long rides but what a curse when it rains : can't see a damn thing through it !) Cheers from France !

Great bike and nice color as well. I have the 2019 slim and and absolutely have no regrets with my purchase. One thing I noticed between the new style Softail Slim is the rear fender looks a bit more chopped on the 2019. I actually prefer your 2016 stance and rear fender just looks much better to me. Feel like my bike just a bit too high in the rear. Safe travels
@simplybiking

I think there were complaints about the limited amount of travel the rear wheel had on mine, so they increased travel. But I’m fine with the travel. You get used to whatever you have. Hey, thanks for the positive feedback. Cheers

Nice sled bro, I really love the sound of your bike. On the shield, I ride a road glide, I’m 6’5 and changed to a 16” smoked shield. The proper way to fit them is for them to be at top of nose to where you can comfortably look over them. On my road king I did remove the shield but this road glide I ride from 500-1000 mile days. That’s tuff without a shield, for 63 yo beat up man lol..... BTW, thank you Jesus for your sacrifice

Very nice. I have a HD and I love it, you don't get all the looks on a Yamaha but even though I can't afford the bike its worth it. You can't tell who I am by the black and white letters in my comment but I love how hd makes me feel. I can out ride most veteran riders because I have a lot of practice, but with my ride being a 114 I have no problem getting down the road. Nice bike. I would love to ride with you but having just got a HD I'm trying to get the whole riding a nostalgic bike down and loving the whole experience. Amen Jesus and ride safe.

It sure is a beautiful bike. I love the old school looking Harleys. Not sure about the "Heal toe " shifter. They look cool but i can't used to them. I think my left foot has devolped a reflex action over the years with gear changing so even if i ride a bike with the heal toe shifter, i dont use the heal part of it. Maybe if i actually owned a bike with one i would get used to it.
