So when you say resetting the oil light, was that the service interval you were resetting with the Ross Tech VCDS? Nice clean oil change and fast.. hmmm I starting to really dislike pulling the belly pan and climbing underneath, even though I use the quick jacks I can practically sit up right underneath, I’m starting to think that oil pump is pretty slick.. I’ve seen you use it a few times now.... do you have to blow them out to clean them .. like in the lines? Are they easy to drain into a jug to bring to the auto store to recycle? Or can you pump out the oil? .. nice car too!!! 👍🏻👍🏻

You can change oil with most cars this way, I changed the oil in a jeep and in my bobcat (got more than everything out, super clear oil) and it’s known to work this way for all lawnmowers and such. I suggest getting a good one like I have because the cheap one didn’t last.

In my 2011 A4 before I got the new engine put in I was burning around 1qt of oil every 500-700 miles or so, took a trip from Ohio to Kentucky to the Aquarium. Topped her off to drive home. Drive off, about a quarter mile down the road it doesn’t feel right. Pull over and realize I lost the darn Cap because I didn’t put it back on. Put a rag in the cap hole for the two and a half hour ride home. Never making that mistake again

I played with the idea but ultimately I had to take the pistons out and clean them, by that time most people hate the idea of putting the same pistons back in but I’ve done it and it should last the remaining life of the car.

hey naptown tuner i had a question about my a4 2013 tfsi 2.0 engine , i recently replaced spark plugs 3 times in a week but awhile back i had to change them only every 2-3 weeks before they went bad. I also have a oil consumtion issue were i got to put a quart of oil (castrol 5w30) every 100-150 miles , do you reccomend re building my engine or buying a used one . it currently has 114,000 miles on it

Usually the 3.0t is solid. As the heavy line tech I rarely got to work on them. Timing chain stuff is probably on par with everything else and is not a known issue like 2.0t. Manual is the bast because 2009-2011 could have burnt up transmission wiring stuff

VCDS is where it's at right there. Naptown used to use the original Audi scan tool. Obdeleven pro owner as well and I'll admit, it's a neat, powerful little thing but I have noticed different features available depending on your android version. One can get more in depth with the VCDS software and a vagcom cable. Audi repair shop manual is a must as well as ETKA. ETKA is actually a lifesaver that made me really wonder why I had gone so long without having it.

@@joecosta4708 VCDS doesn't work like it used to on prev years. Now you can't even get into measuring blocks individually. It's because all the Audi cars have or going to UDS protocol. VCDS is not really much better than the rest now and is just overpriced hype.
