Man, that's a nice looking bike right there! Test road one during a demo event and loved the ride, fit and finish. Sorry you had to deal with the problem but glad your back on the road without anymore issues.

A definite issue. Replaced bars and grips on my 2015 glide and currently seeing this issue with surging and limp mode Harley drives me nuts but I love the bike

Man i always think about buying a new harley. But i just can't get over all the electronics on bikes now. So much easier with old bikes.

Have an 09 Ultra Classic doing what you describe. 07 was last year for cable actuated throttle. Wish I had got one of those.

Appreciate the detailed video. I’ve been having this issue with my bike I thought it was a voltage problem but it seems like it’s a throttle sensor issue because my bike is doing exactly this. At times when I pull back the throttle it misses all together. Then it goes into limp mode while either driving or sitting at a red light. I had handle bars installed about a year ago.

Hey... I'm seeing the same issue in my 2017 Bonneville T100. Do you know how they fixed the issue? Did they have to replace the grip sensors.

Yes... once replaced there were no more issues

I realize this is a few years old but I recently started having issues with my 2010, I got a code for the TCA correlation error, voltage was dropping sporadically while testing so I ended up replacing the induction module. Now it gave me the code for the TGS correlation error and I’m experiencing the same surging issue as before. What I’d like to know is, did yours kinda rev on its own at a certain RPM? It seems that when the voltage drops dramatically it’s trying to compensate to maintain the 5 volts and it races up, it’s a bit scary.

Yes the was a slight rev, but the majority of times the bike entered limp mode. This might have been a precautionary measure to prohibit the unit from catastrophic failure. I would suggest a visit to your local Dealership or a trusted mechanic. Can't be too safe when it comes to throttle malfunction. Ride safe

Did this end up being your throttle by wire?
@lennysamatulski9456
11 ай бұрын
@@HARLEYPITBULLNRAMMine happened to be a broken wire in the harness near the neck resulting in loss of voltage to the intake. Basically what I’ve been told, you need voltage to open and close the throttle body that equals 5 volts, if 3 volts is throttling up 2 are down. If you’re open throttle then it’s using all 5, same when you’re throttling down. It takes the voltage away and puts it towards closing it. At least that’s how it was explained to me. I happened to find one person on here that had the same problem as me and I found the break immediately!!!

@@lennysamatulski9456Thanks for the information. I’m having the same issue. I’m going to check my wire connectors now. If that’s good I’m sure it will be the throttle wire in the grip because at times it doesn’t even respond when I pull back to give it gas.

This is not a system wide problem with the 2017 touring bikes. Unfortunately it failed on your bike but I feel like you are going to create some panic by putting out a video that highlights YOUR problem. Now if you were talking about something widespread like transmission fluid migration or sumping which has ocurred widely on 2017 and 2018s, that would definitely warrant a video.
@speedphenom6326

If that is the case, why is it happening to multiple bikes. This video was meant to create a remedy for the problem not a bashing session. Please read all comments before you comment. Thanks
