Just replaced my daughter’s actuator and couldn’t have done it without this video. Thanks! Saved her a lot of plata. I’m a little worried about the $25 after marker actuator I got from Amazon. Big difference from the $350 you referenced.

Can verify. No car repair experience and followed these directions to complete the job in about 2 hours including time I rewatched a few parts. The metal rod was a bit tricky as you had to pull a metal slide down in order for the door rod to slide into place and they didn’t really explain it well. I played around with the new part to see how it worked and saw how it slid down some and that helped me get the metal rod out and back in later. Was quoted 560 parts and 1 hr labor totaling about 750 out the door. Bought this part on Amazon for about $50 total plus a little time. Thanks for the video and making this seem less intimidating.

You guys! This is one of the most well-explained tutorials I’ve ever seen. I just got a quote from Toyota to fix this for $600. I was like, “Nah, I’ll find a good KZitem video to do this myself.” I’m about to order the part because I’m confident I can do this after watching this video. Thank you guys so much!!

I am impressed and thankful. Excellent level of explanation and supporting camera angles throughout. Major bonus points for when it didn't go exactly as planned and you showed your workaround. Also once you had it hooked up, testing it prior to mounting. The only disappointment is I can't click like more than once. 👍👍

Great video...I have a 2017 Tundra but aside from a couple of panel differences, the actual removal of the actuator is exactly the same...your explanation was much better than 90% of the other vids on youtube...and there is a cool drinking game in your vid. Every time he says "bad boy"...take a shot...you'll be so drunk by the end you won't care if the actuator works or not!! lol Thanks again!!

Good video. One last step that is missing is connecting the manual key rod to the actuator. You will not be able to unlock your car with the key if this is not done.

the 3 bolts that hold the actuator to the door frame require a Torx T-30 tool, not a hex tool.

The reason why you had trouble disconnecting the wires from the window button section is the place you were pushing wasn’t the release. If you look on the side of the connector you’ll see a tab with two indented lines that you need to push

Hey y'all, this looks like a great easy-to-follow tutorial. You said at the end that it cost you about $57. All of the Rav4 door actuators I have looked at are about $300. Do you have any recommendations on where to find a well-priced Rav 4 door actuator?

Our 2017 Rav4 driver's door will no longer work with the key fob (likely will have to do this repair in the video) and I had just had to replace the blower motor recently. New Toyota's are junk.

There might be a few things you can do. 1. Try making sure the connection to the actuator is solid 2. Make sure the metal wires (rods) are connected to the actuator correctly 3. If none of the doors are unlocking, then the remote may be out of battery 4. The unit itself may be a defect. Try getting a repacement. Let us know if that works.
