When complaining the weather, try imagine this car to Finland, with 4 clearly separate seasons... I love it here!

Seen it on road just recently and catch my attention enough for me to look after it. Once I have found that it only offers 167HP from 1.6 I have to (straight away) say "Ups... Sorry Subaru... GT badge and only this?"... Sadly....

We get the 2 Litre, 197kW variant here in Oz. I've had my MY18 GT-S and it is excellent. I look forward to the weekends and deliberately avoid freeways. The MY18 model series now includes the 1.6Litre engine. I wouldn't bother.

The 1.6 litre reaches 100 km/hour in less than 9 seconds. That's good enough for most driving I think

@@sebofo 8s is the number if you use launch mode on the cvt. I wouldn't use it since it's a cvt. But there's many KZitem videos that proves this. 0-100km/h is not important for me. When I turn into a road I usually already have some speed. So most of the time it's 20-60km/h and 70-110km/t that matters. In my neighborhood it's on ice most of the year.

@@vectraB97 What is it you don't like with Subarus CVT? I find it's very tightly computer controlled so it does not allow the engine to rev up as much as some older CVT solutions. I prefer it to traditional automatics.

@@sebofo most of the time it works fine in I and S mode. But when pulling a trailer I prefer to use paddle shifter in manual mode and keep the rpm above 1900, unless I go downhill. Cruise control with cvt and trailer isn't recommended by the user manual. I tried it ones and got error codes.

How long did you have the car on test? I put a deposit on this car at my local dealer they claimed it was owned by a Subaru manager. When i found this video I asked if it had been a press car and they said it might have been borrowed for a couple of hours to take some pictures!

Fire Blade890 I've not bought it, i told them that i didn't want it knowing it had been a press car. And also our local vet has one and it's only returning 27 mpg!

First fact is cool but I've got nothing to compare it against, how do you get those stats?
@insidelane
7 жыл бұрын
Those stats come from Subaru who have the data on how many cars they have sold over the past 10 years and what cars have been declared off of the road.

Very nice looking. ....too bad they can't give the option of a manual transmission to their customers. .....I don't get it. ....it's weak customer service imo. ...disappointing.

I believe it is because of emissions and that the UK was not originally one of the markets to get this car. It is a shame because a manual gearbox and a diesel engine would make this car. However, improvements for this model year have made things better.

What is a parking sensor
@sebofo

It notices when you park and alerts the police if you are in a non-parking zone..... No seriously, it's a set of ultrasound sensors in the bumpers and a beeper on the dashboard that beeps when you are in about a foot from some object.

@@sebofo Some versions of the Lavorg have parking sensors, maybe not this one though.
