I"ve got a "clunk" noise in my Tundra when steering. Sound can be heard in between 29-30 second mark of the video as well as the 34-35 second mark. Its been happening since I got my lift back in September of last year. Work was done by 4WP. Went in for tire rotation last week and brought this to their attention. They have looked at it multiple times and have said its nothing to worry about. I have been told it could be the top of the strut flexing or "shifting" or it being the skid plate. It has not gotten any worse and sounds exactly the same every time. Just seeing what you all may think it could be..
The guys at 4WP have been pretty good so far with my concerns. I have been told to bring it back at any time.
Lift is a Rough Country 3.5 in Bolt-on. New UCA's along with struts in the front. Leaf spring spacer in the rear..
They did remove the sway bar drop spacers last week as they said it could have been the issue (potentially hitting the skid plate causing the noise). Haven't driven much to see if it has been resolved. Will update this week of course.
Let me know what you all think..
***UPDATE!!!
I replaced the brakes a couple months ago. New pads, rotors, all new hardware. I have not heard the noise at all since then!!! I believe the issue has been resolved!!
