I have a 2019 F250 SXT with the 6.2. I honestly think it is the most underrated truck out there. It is so easy to service, tows great, and will last a long time. I don't know why it doesn't get more attention. Thanks for posting......keep it up.

I agree. Hard to beat the 6.2 up to 2020. A few more years of miles under its belt and I think the 7.3 & 10 speed will also be great

If you want a bit more power, check out a 5-Star tune or the Livernois cam kit. IF you want to keep the truck a while to justify extra money, that is. I had a 17 6.2 F350 w/ 3.73 that was wonderful. When you know how to tow properly, you can get a lot out of these gas machines w/ much less expense and headaches than diesel (in my opinion).

I just got my '21 F250 6.2 w/ 3.73 gears a month ago and towed my camper with it this weekend. Ordered a truck with the 4.30 gears but it is waiting in the chip shortage so I took a similar truck that had the 3.73 gears. Runs about 2,100 RPM at 65 in 5th gear. Tows the camper very easily. If I got to the Toyo AT 3 tires that are 34.8" tall, it will cut the RPMs to about 2,000. That is pretty low but not too significant I guess. The 4.30 gears would have put it about 2,300 RPM which would be more in the power band. Overall, I love the truck and engine combo.

I have a 2020 F-250 w/ 6.2 and 3.73 gears. I pull up to 12,500# or less and the truck does exactly what I need. Maintence is less expensive than the diesel I had previously. Good video- thanks. BTW……. A 50 series dual out muffler lets the 6.2 breathe better.

How is that exhaust for drone? I want an exhaust on the 6.2 I'm about to get bur also don't want the wife to scream at me..... again😂. I'm thinking about the force 2 with the super 50 HD muffler. Should be best of both worlds

Ive pulled up to 18,000lbs with my 2013 6.2 with 3.73s and 35s. She was sluggish to get goin but she did it. Normally tow 12-13,000 no issues. Would definitey like the 4.30s. I think if I got a new one tomorrow itd probably be another 6.2

@Ford trailer was so was probably over 25,000 combined. First time gettin loaded at the gravel pit. Loader didn't have scales on it and it was pouring rain loaded with soaking wet 3 inch minus. And when I ran over the main scale it's in kg so I was like ya OK. Did the conversion to pounds when I got home and just about shit myself, lol

I just bought a 22 f350 srw single cab 6.2 6 speed tranny and 3.73 gears. I really like it so far. It had 1460 miles on it and was bought for a tax break. I wanted it because of the 6.2, didnt want a 23 with the 6.8. I dont think I have ever seen anything negative on the 6.2.

We jumped into a '22 F250 with the 6.2 from an '11 F150 3.5l. I didn't need an increase in towing capacity I needed payload. 4 adults in the car + WD hitch didn't leave much left over for tongue weight of my light (4700lb dry!) trailer. I was 300+ lb over, and that was assuming there was NOTHING else besides just us in the truck. I could have gone with a HD payload package F150 but decided I just didn't want to ever worry about payload again (I don't envision dragging a huge 5th wheel). My fault for not looking closer when we bought the '11 to replace our previous tow vehicle. That and my kids have grown into almost adults since we bought the truck. The 7.3l comes with the 10spd in the 250. The 6.2l comes with the 6spd. I saw enough griping about that transmission that I opted for the 6.2l. Like I said above - I'm not going to be taxing it, godzilla was $2k more.

I bought a 2017 F350 in Sept. 2020 with 3:73 gears and the camper package. Towing a TT at about 6300 Lbs and it struggles on some longer hills, especially when towing behind my brother in his 2013 diesel towing a 10k Lb 5th wheel. I have to hang back. Always wonder if upgrading to 4:30 would level that off a bit given how less weight I tow than him. It's either upgrade my gears to get to a 7.3 with 4:30 gears in a few years. That said, I LOVE this truck.

@@kenj.8897 Having towed a lot more since I posted that, I think I was just unfamiliar with how the engine should sound and how I should adjust acceleration on a long hill. No complaints. Tows great and gets 520 miles (w/o trailer) on a single tank when we drive to Myrtle Beach in the summer.

4:30s should be a standard imo I own a 2011 6.2 use it for plowing snow and pulling but being it’s a regular cab I’m on the hunt for a used 6.2 and everyone is 3:73… 4:30s seem to be like unicorns in these trucks… anyhow the 2011 is a work horse them gears help in the heavy wet snow… glad to see the 6.2 finally getting some rep on KZitem especially for pulling

I'm looking at a 2022 f250 with the6.2 , extended cab which I know isn't a favorite for most but I like the way they look leveled out with a nice wheel/tire combo. It's a 373 gear. I tow a 8000 pound 36 foot toy hauler that's about 9500 pounds loaded. Will this handle it fine or should I order one with a 430 gear? Thanks for your input.

You have to be realistic about how much you are going to pull camper and the terrain. I live in some hills but mostly flat land. I got the 4:30’s because I sometime use mine for work as shown here. Also I was interested in larger tires. You can get by just fine with 3:73. It will do it with 8k lbs.
