Love the bike! And the English closed captions are a scream. The 2018 Softtails have only recently arrived in Australia and I hope to tryout a 114 Fatboy when available. If I can handle the rear tyre I'll get one for sure. Thanks for the video!

You have a good review, but you say it's not well on bumpy roads , but other reveiws from dozens of other ppl including a me on a test ride a few weeks ago, and love the wide tires and great balance for a big tired bike, love it, it smoother by far than past Fat Boys and very little counter steering needed

Holycrap. are you guys not required to use turn signals for lane changes where you live? That's crazy.
@jaipo
5 жыл бұрын
Turn signal should be used when moving to the outside lane but technically as you are expected to travel in the near side lane then a signal is not required when returning. In practice most people, except Audi drivers, use turn signals most of the time but you won’t be prosecuted for not using signals unless it is a contributory factor in an accident.

The handling thing is just the profile of the back tyre. Pity HD couldn't have used the same rear tyre that Ducati used on the Diavel...

Honest review. Well done. The bike would not reward you attacking every corner (as you said) because it has poor lean angle clearance and that rear tire. Looks fantastic, but a huge compromise for a real rider who also wants some fun on a mountain road. Answer for a real rider is the 2018 Low Rider, staged up to a 114 with Street Slammer bars. Best of both worlds.

Love to watch your videos, you have such a great attitude and humour about the hole thing. I'm concidering purchasing my first brand new bike and I have narrowed it down to this bike and the gold wing. I love the wing but think its over kill for my needs. I'm a fair weather rider these days so only using bike on weekends or in good weather, the rest of time it will be in the garage. I think the fatboy is for me and I'd like some advice please on what it might be like to live with in Ireland given that weather and road conditions are similar to the UK. is it a bike you can use on A. B roads, on motorway at motorway speeds? Any other advice you can think of be very helpful. Cheers

Kevin Rollman the bike was a 114 but the dealer Stage 3 tuned it, with the bigger barrels that takes it to a 117 the same size as the 2018 CVO tourers! That’s why they haven’t put the badge on the air filter yet I guess they are waiting for a 117 one coming.

It was a 114 it was staged 3 to a 117 the 114 from the factory is a long stroke engine therefore adding the bigger barrels of the stage 3 makes it a 117 just like the 2018 CVO’s the 107 from the factory is a short stroke engine adding the stage 3 bigger barrels makes it a 114. If you don’t believe me contact West Coast Harley Davidson it’s their bike and they built it.

Chris L. The CNC you refer to are ported heads, the heads on this bike were not changed, it’s a stage 3
@jcjarboe1
6 жыл бұрын
Going from a 107 to Stage 3 114 there are no CNC heads therefore no etching. Stage 4 114 is needed for the CNC heads etching. Perhaps the same could be for going from a 114 to 117 Stage 3 no CNC etching unless you do a Stage 4.
