I agree totally with your assessment of the GWDCT. I finally got the chance to ride one at Lake George, Americade last week. I’ve been a Harley rider for 40 years, but frankly, at 70, it’s too dam heavy to push around anymore, and the noise is killing my ears. My pipes aren’t that loud, and I wear earplugs, but the sound of the GW is so nice, and, quiet, it surely would turn 500 mile days into 800-1000 mile days very easily. I thinks it’s time for this old man to move on to a more manageable motorcycle. This wing is over 100 lbs. less weight than my 940lb. FLHTK.

I bought my first Gold Wing in 1976. Bought a Vetter frame mounted fairing and 3 piece Samsonite hard bags with the wing mounting hardware. Installed a Hella headlight and driving lights. Loaded the bike up with the wife and all our camping gear and toured for two weeks exploring the western states and Canada, That was the best motorcycle we vacation ever had, No need for stage 1-4 mods. No worries aftermarket parts are on the way,

After a quick glance at how long this video would take to watch, I'm happy to report I watched the whole thing right through, as if riding pillion. What a fabulous machine. Honda have led the world in practical motorcycling, pretty much from when they began producing the humble "Honda 50" (some may know it as the "Cub"); the company has rarely dropped the ball - and the Gold Wing has remained aloof, all the way back to its inception. What a bike…

Awesome ride, great video! I was one of those who had the older, first iteration GoldWings; the 1000cc 1976 or 78, I forget which year! But they were awesome back then! I progressed up from the Honda 450cc, to the 750cc (another classic bike), then the 1000cc. Added a cruise control and was on the road! Now retired also, was looking at this and what Honda has done with this new iteration and really liking it; even thinking about getting one and rejoicing the riding world! All the best to ya., 👍

Traded in a 2010 GoldWing GL1800 Audio (only) in Arrest-Me Yellow on the 2019 RKS in stunning Scorched Orange and Denim. Harley does Great Paint and ignores Technology [yes, I realize they added MSDRABCD traction control suite for 20 Touring.] I sure do miss the GW reverse at the age of 75. Tossing Around three Ultimate Touring Bikes: GW DCT, Yamaha Star Venture Transcontinental and BMW K1600B Grand America. Each of these has Reverse and Storage, Storage, Storage. But that DCT is the sheet (I think). Haven't ridden any of the three yet due to Ohio's Shelter in Place restrictions. Appreciate your candor during this video. I do wish you were an ATGATT person. A Goldwing 3-wheeler for me had a requirement because my physical disability at serval palsy where I can still walk around but it'd be more practical for a three wheeler so I understand You're Timeless watching your video when you did the motorcycle review and Embark the motorcycle three wheels, it's up and that's good but I just want to let you know on this instance

Look into the Goldwing Road Riders Association, world wide almost 700 chapter internationally. A real class act and their education program has been recognized by the govt. as the best in the country. Nicest people you will meet, around 70K plus members. Look at Cruiseman video he has the same bike and he had his seat redone in Texas, he says will make a huge difference.

Question: Would you have anywhere near as good a pension from the Bridge & Ironworkers Union IF You Lived Anywhere Other Than California, New York, New Jersey or Connecticut ?
@HolyBibleOpen
4 жыл бұрын
The pension is based on hourly pay. Each union district negotiates their pay. The Golden Gate Bridge has its own pay scale and is different from the union pay. Both are based on cost of living.

Hey there, Arturo. Hope you’re doing well. I just want to know after 2.5 years if you’re still loving your goldwing and if you would buy it again knowing what you know about your bike. I know no bike is perfect, but is there anything about the goldwing that you really can’t stand? I’m torn between two bikes and I just need the last bit of info to make up my mind. Thanx much for your time. Stay safe. A fellow rider from Vegas

@@HolyBibleOpen It is looking like I'm leanig toward the 2018 manual "new." Haha, weird, but yeah, brand new. There will be some negative equity rolled into the new deal, but Honda Financial is offering .99 financing, which will save me some money on the loan.

Since you buy new every 2 or 3 years try a sport touring bike next time! I had Goldwings for over 30 years and purchased a 2015 Triumph Trophy, told my son to give me a year to see if I like it and I would give him my 2003 goldwing, he got the 03 in 5 months! All sport touring models are still 100 to 150 lbs ligher than the new goldwing plus more HP and better handling. Bottom line there is just more FUN on sport tour bikes, goldwings are a fine bike but I don;t think I would buy another one.

@@HolyBibleOpen Sport touring models give you almost as much comfort with improved performance and handling over the big full dresser models like Honda and Harley is all I am saying. The KTM is crazy fast, much faster than sport touring models.
