My daughter recently purchased a used 2018 Elentra GT hatch with 28k miles. It had all the bells and whistles such as ventilated seating, panoramic roof, etc...it is a great little hatch, perfect for cruising around southern California. She loves it!

I just bought a 2018 Elantra GT, metallic gray, from Enterprise Rent-a-Car's car sales division. It has 39,000 miles on it, yet it is still solid & firm, and easy to drive. Everything about it looks good, and since it is based on Hyundai's i30 model, not the Elantra sedan, it has wider rims and tires and more European-style handling traits. An excellent compact hatchback with a premium feel. A front-wheel drive Audi Q3 is virtually the same size as the Elantra GT Sport, with the same power, but $9K more!!

The miles per gallon are severely underestimated on this car. I bought one over a month ago and I can easily get 40 miles a gallon on the highway. Hyundai was sued years ago because they were over estimating their miles per gallon, now I think they underestimate for fear of being sued again

true, I have both the Elantra and the Elantra GT, the lowest in town w/ AC on, idling, the GT gets higher than its estimate (25mpg), highway? I've gotten 38 on a 2hr long 55-70mph interstate drive. Easily get over its estimate 32

@@chrisgonepro9648 great. 45k miles, no problems at all. There was a recall on the steering column, it made a whining sound. Got that replaced. Did have one of the blind spot monitor modules fail, that was replaced under warranty. Other than that, good to go. I got the base model with the style and tech packages for $19,900. MSRP was $27,655.

Went to the auto show today. Sat in the Corolla hatchback, Golf, and this. I definitely prefer this. I have a 2016 Impreza hatchback now and hate it. Mazda wasn't even at the auto show. Not considering the Cruze hatchback because of the auto stop. This has actual gears too which is a big plus.

Those MPG estimates are pretty conservative. I regularly get high 30s in my Base model with a manual transmission, rarely going below 33-34 MPG. That's my overall average, though it includes a very high amount of highway driving for my total daily commute of about 80 miles. If I really push it, I can easily get into the low-to-mid 40s, though I piss off a lot of drivers in doing so :) These numbers come from the car's MPG readout, so they may be a bit on the optimistic side. Love this car! About to hit 22k since I bought it new in November.

I have the Elantra GT Sport and a Porsche Cayman GTS (981). The Elantra GT Sport is a great daily driver....some Turbo lack when the engine is cold but overall pretty good with a great torque feel between 3,000 to 5,000 rpm. The car has a bit understear but I may improve this by choosing better tires once the OEM tires need to be replaced. The brakes do the job but fade a bit when getting too hot. Overall, the Elantra GT Sport is still a great car - and certainly a much better value compared to the Golf. The looks of the car sometimes look a little odd but actually they grow on you. For me, the Elantra GT Sport is a keeper. I think the build quality is very good for price and it seems to last and to be put well together.......Best of all, the Elantra GT Sport is a fairly rare car, so you do have a unique ride even in the low budget category......

I have just have to ask; What makes these KZitemrs think that having music playing while the person is trying to give a speech on the car is a fantastic idea. If a person was interested in a music video then they would be searching for a music video and not a car video. These KZitemrs just don't get it.

wow...40% of the MSRP in options...holy cow; that's just like Porsche and other lux brands...That's a Honda Shadow or CB650F in my garage...I guess buyers really need to weigh what's important to them to keep the price in check...I like tech and safety, but not at those prices...1st mistake was the automatic trans, 2nd was the pano roof...If more people drive manuals, cars would have lower transaction prices...I do like how this car is giving more choice in the current hatchback market. Now, they (Hyundai just need to make an Elantra GT Wagon Sport (w/a manual of course) to round out the model lineup.

So you slide the front seats all the way back on the track and tilt back the seat back and then show us that there is no rear leg room? Think that would be the case with any car. For those that care about back seats, they are very sufficient if front sees are set to normal position for most drivers and passengers.
@diggidy28

True. We just test drove one with my 4 yr old in a carseat behind the driver, and my son in a rear facing carseat behind the passenger with my wife sitting shotgun, and we all fit fine.
@BTC909

Most manufactures don't F up on rear seat legroom anymore. It's fine for little kids but they do tend to grow up and you end up having to dump the vehicle or hand it down.
