Kasatkina is so good, she really is. She’s strong and has such good hands. She’s going to be a grand slam champ for sure. Woz was so lucky to win in Australia. Other than beating an exhausted Simona, she actually hasn’t done too well this year. Simona is playing great tennis and will surely winnher first slam this year at the French.

I have been indifferent for any wta player since Sabatini, Navratilova and Henin. I might have just started to cheer for Kasatkina now =) love her ballsy and smart play, going for her shots, not being afraid of volleys...She's also a hottie, fun to watch and does tweeners X)

indeed. Have as well, had zero interest in the screeching ballbashing clones of the WTA since Henin. Well, ok, Janky Jankovic for her classiness and beautiful movement.. Kat has happily changed my mind. And I look fwd to following her for a long time. Kudos to her coach to not turn her into another ( bigger, stronger, better in some way...) brainless ball bashing clone and to take max advantage of her skills, talent and BRAINS!. And such a refreshing fun demeanor, check her happy cheeky grin after that bender. The brainless clone coaches needle comes from personal experience coaching at an elite tennis academy.

@skylaxx

yeah, that would be total devastation by Seles as she was so strong on both wings and played with opponents serves

Seles would've demolished her. Wozniacki is good, but she's nowhere near peak Seles, Graf, Williams sisters, Hingis, Sharapova, or even Azarenka.

Wozniacki has reverted to her simple and stagnant old self who just doesn't understand that she can't wait for the opponent to lose the game. She continually leaves obvious winning shots lying all over court. Her improved serve is gone, too. The main thing she doesn't get is one has to make inferior opponents play inferior because most of the time it's not going to happen by itself.

AnteDiluvian Defense moonballs ? She was trying to be agressive and going to the net, where she made silly mistakes in important moments, that's it. It was a really close match. All credit to Daria who is so a joy to watch.

Cause Kasatkina did an amazing job with her top spin groundstrokes, and didn't let her hit the ball like she is used to. But look at those returns from Wozniacki... 2:58 I wouldn't call that an agressive return. Le ha pintao la cara pero bien.
