Despite the Loss Kerber has made it to the quarter final in every tournament this year, that’s consistency. But she has been faultering in the latter stages, she needs to stay positive, she’s doing good.

Can someone tell me if Kerber have some injury on her legs? Since AO (match against hsieh and after against halep) seems like she arent moving so well, sometimes she put her hand on her legs etc. I though that she will be better on others tournament but in Miami she dont get better. Someone have some news about?

With Sloane and Naomi, I believe We still have good reasons to watch and enjoy women's tennis. Although I am sure many people ( Maria sharapova and her camp ) are worried😓😢😧😨😭😩😟😖 about the appearance of these two talented women as well as many more new 20 year olds, who played really well earlier this year.....,

These commentators are hilarious! I'm glad they're praising Sloane but they actually fail to see how tired and flat Kerber is, which Sloane takes full advantage of. Of all the players in the past tournaments this year, Sloane can be considered as one of the most inconsistent while on the other hand Kerber is showing consistency by making it to the quarterfinals and above in all her tournaments. Don't get me wrong Sloane has a powerful game but there were many factors present as to why this was such a blowout (eg. Wind, crowd, muscle fatigue). Kerber is receiving so much hate here for all the wrong reasons. Glad you gamblers didn't get your money back. Speaking of Stephens, weird to see players like her who only do really well in their home country though...🤔

Her serve is a big problem in her game right now. She hits a good slider from the ad court but her second serve, frankly, is terrible. There is nothing on it and it's hit right into the middle of the box almost every time. I was surprised Stephens didn't put a lot more returns away than she did. If she put those second serves in against Venus Williams or Ostapenko, it would be game over. It's not going to cut it with the top players.

I think Stephens needs to improve her backhand. Her natural strength and powerful forehand are her deadly weapons but everything else is, in my opinion, very questionable. I like her but her mindset and even movement sometimes just do not appear on the court.
@rk12968

pretty horrendous match. Kerber can't move around the court and can't find the corners. there's a big gap between this and the other quarterfinals. the new generation will send these two retire soon enough.

Rigged? I don't trust these american events to be honest... Everytime we have a tournament in the US, there's a bunch of players that appear out of nowhere, then they fade away like tears in rain, and you can't see them for rest of the year until US Open, where we have an all american final, hmmm...🤔
@eizyaws

AnteDiluvian Oh wow i guess Vesnina and Konta are in on it to since they are...well were the defending champions(non American)
@antediluvian9144

Jermano- Well, since we had an all american final in New York, coming out of a doubtful all american semi-final, and then we have players like Stephens who had a 0-9 record until Acapulco (she lost to Voegle in QF's there) beating top 10's in straight sets (?) And then all these no named players like Anisimova, Collins, etc coming literally out of nowhere, performing like pro's.... We have to agree that this is all a little weird to say the least.
@antediluvian9144
6 жыл бұрын
DizzieDaCrazzie88- Not only Muguruza, but Konta losing to 38 yo Venus, really? After a 3 hours long previous match? Like really? Kerber in straight sets 6-1 6-2... really? I mean the amount of top players who got eliminated in early rounds is inconceivable for any other tournament outside the US. Kasatkina, Halep, Wozniacki.. etc IDK I notice something weird in Miami.
