Fantastic job, I would love to do this same set up on my 2015 High Country 5.3l. I'm just not mechanically inclined. You did some great work there and should be proud. Thanks for sharing.

JL - thank you for posting these vids -- this all helps with my decision to buy a 2018 1500 Sierra (knowing in advance that there are some great mods - to enhance ownership experience)

Thank you! Excellent video, informative & detailed. I appreciate your time spent to share this with us. Exactly the type of information I was looking for. It's like we were having a conversation in your driveway. I wanted to know ... Is it worth it? How difficult was the installation? Is the parts supplied sufficient? How is the quality? How long did it actually take to install? Are you happy with the results? You nailed it and more! I definitely need to add a oil catch can! Thanks again for the great video!

Thanks for the kind comment. When doing research before buying i had a lot of questions I couldn’t find answers for. I tried to address every thing someone would want to know. Be sure to check out the rest of the videos in the series thus far. Good luck on your build.

Very nice! I have to ask, why not the Whipple Supercharger ? Is that one better than the Whipple? Keep the vids coming! New subscriber here 🔥👍💪🏻

Since its just a daily driver i didn’t want the added noise the Whipple makes and it was almost another 1k more in price vs what I ended up spending. Also not that a Whipple in not reliable, but the Magunson kit uses EATON rotating assembly, it’s supposed to be trouble free for a log time.

Is your transmission stock? I know the transmissions in the trucks either the 6speed and the 8speed are pretty weak. If yours is stock I would def get it built up to handle the power

He should be fine if he has the 8l90 the 6l80 will probably won't the power if it's tuned correctly

@@luimac7378 I had no trouble putting on the belt. It’s easiest if you slip it over a non ribbed pulley last.

After the blower and cam install and constantly playing with the tune and testing i have averaged 16.2 MPG over 12,000 miles on my trip B display. I would imaging after i get done constantly doing WOT pulls and just drove it normal it would improve a little. I have gotten as good as 18 MPG average over a tank full. Over all its really not that bad of a loss considering Im now making 200 more HP at the wheel over stock. Honestly its gets just about as good of mileage as stock if i keep my foot out of boost.
@JNatella

@@jlrcracing Thanks. The 6.2 is hard to find in used trucks so getting a 5.3 and supercharger may just be easier. I have a camaro so I don't need a fast truck but havin a little extra power is nice, but I also use it to work and haul, and some years I put 20k on it, so mileage function and reliability actually kinda matters.

so for the first 27K miles you had no catch can? I installed my elite can and clean side separator on the oil cab when my truck only had 900 miles. Hopefully it is helping out.
@jlrcracing

That is correct, no can before 27K. As much as it collects now that its on im sure it must be helping.
