You're fantastic! I'm pretty sure any guy would have cursed about 20 times, blamed the engineers for a crummy design, and felt like they were battling the whole process. I'm going to show this to my daughters.

Nice, shows all the steps. I just did the same install. I didn't have a nice jig to line up the hitch and had to wrestle it in myself, which would be ok if it wasn't so heavy. For a solo project, it's also easier if the muffler is removed, only two bolts. The two fascia plastic tabs needed a trim to not interfere with the hitch. The cut dimensions given in the Draw-Tie instructions are wrong. Follow the two fine lines on the inner side of the fascia for the edge cuts, and cut closer to 3.5" from the bottom, not the 2.5" in the instructions. I also recommend to spray the finished install with undersealer to inhibit rust. It all looks good when finished.

tip, you don't have to remove the heat shields, the outer bolts will likely snap due to corrosion if in a salty area, or the bolt will come out but the bracket will be destroyed, you can cut the heat shields in place

Yes, I was a little surprised that two of the bolts just kinda melted through the heat shield as soon as I turned them due to corrosion.

Man this it a lot just to install. I did it on a 2003 Honda Odyssey and I didn't have to do anything but line up the hitch, raise it up, and ratchet the bolts in!

Every hitch installation is different. You can always have a U-Haul hitch professional do the install for you. Just visit www.uhaul.com/Trailer-Hitches/ and find a center near you!

Oh my God! I LOVE. this girl. When I was younger, 1:13 I was like her. I'd go our and work with my horses in full dress (nails done, hair done makeup done). I used to lay under my brothers truck when he was working on it. He taught me how to change the oil I always ended up looking like I'd put a new frigging engine in! And it wasn't so hot, because once my husband realized that I could do it (he didn't know how), well, guess who ended up changing the oil all the time! Please be good to this woman. She is one you need to hang onto! GIVE HER A RAISE! ❤

FYI, you may not need to cut the bumper if your hitch is not from Uhaul. Great video for reference, but please check if your hitch is a Curt or other brand. Cutting a bumper?!?! Come on...

The Draw-Tite 76182 instructions call for the trimming of the bumper fascia and this part is not exclusive to U-Haul. We do our best to follow the manufacturer instructions. Other brands and/or models may not require trimming, but will have more of the hitch exposed instead of behind the bumper.

@@trailerhitches absolutely, some hitchs may require cutting the bumper to make it fit. For those simply referencing this great video should, fit check or verify before cutting up their bumper. hitches hidden behind the bumper also save shins from time to time. All about better design work.
