@Dom L. Lowest in the class? Is it fuck?...same 2.0l EA888 engine as in the Golf R with plenty of tuning potential. Relatively good exterior/ok interior with black trim, but each to their own I guess. The worst thing about the Polo is the lack of manual gearbox. I would probably go for something like a Peugeot 208 GTi if I was forced to drive a compact hot hatch. Cheap, fun and handles well. The Fiesta is good in many aspects but not the best in class imo.

A short experience from me. I have driven the Ford Fiesta st 1.5 (it's the car of a good friend) for over 1.000km the last 2 weeks and can say that it is a very great car. It feels very powerful/torque (about 300nm) and the pops if you down- and upshift at the right rpm's and the sound overall is so much fun and sounds really great. We drove straight on the autobahn max. 240 km/h and downhill 260 km/h (it's completely stock). But the most impressive part is the performance at the country road, it's soo much fun. I can recommend the car to anyone that looks for a powerful small car with a great look, outstanding performance and a good quality-price ratio.

@@Hells_Gift_MB I have also driven the last generation of the fiesta st (182). The ride quality on the new one is really good, i would say slightly better then the previous generation (the previous st is also a really great car in my opinion). I have also driven the new fiesta st for about 300km straight on the german "autobahn" you can drive it daily and also for longer distances, but you feel that the suspension is on the harder side. Don't unterstand me wrong the car is quite comfortable for a small car, but the whole setting of the car is on the sporty/agile side. I would recommend you to test drive the fiesta st and then you can experience it on yourself, how the car feels for you.

@@danielleroux6490 unfortunately until soccer moms and people who have no need to drive SUVs, and pick up truck, or parking lot crawlers I mean jeep Rubicon jacked up that have never seen dirt ford is right. America is bigger is better. I work in the car industry, in 2018 Ford could not keep trucks and suvs on the lot but go out back it was full of cars that have been sitting for years except the mustang's. That's why a Ford raptor is sold for over 80,000 new almost 100,000 now msrp means nothing and no one is off roading them. If your not towing, putting tools in the bed, or driving dirt roads you should have to buy station wagons,(bearly exists in USA) or mini Van's. If you have a husband, a wife and 2 kids a car is just fine lol. In Europe fuel cost twice as much hence they get the cars and diesel motors we do not. Becouse most people think there safer in the heavy rollover suvs lol that suck fuel. Let's see how they like it now in 2022 that gas is going over 5 bucks a gallon. When this video was made it was around 2 bucks per gallon lol. Bring back the cars yes. Change the public view on the SUV fad and the will come back. iam still on a fiesta mk7, a regular one and iam hasitant with this one. reason is: rule of thumb with cars is: the smaler the car, the cheaper the built quality. we have 2 fords of the same generation. a 2012 fiesta and a 2014 cmax. interior sound isolation is a huge difference between the two and she shift feeling, how smoth the gearbox is, is different. hell, even my old vectra b from 1999 felt smoother when it comes to switching gears then the 2012 fiesta. it just doesnt slide easily, it feels nothings really smeered in there. its like the fiesta has a 500 dollar gearbox and the cmax has a 1500 dollar one. and i fear that its the same even with this fiesta st, that theres a huge difference in haptics between a fiesta st and a focus st.

The brakes made my stomach turn and the surround sound system is almost as good as that in a Jaguar XKR. If you rev the car with the windows and doors closed, can't hear a sound but once you open the windows you can really hear it so that is a brilliant demonstration on how good the sound insulation is. The touch screen isn't too laggy but it is easy to use and feels great to touch. Great Test - verry professional - thank you - can you also use the car for longer Autobahn distances? Actually I am Ford Focus ST 2017 and it is ok to drive on the Autobahn - maybe you can tell me if I can compare these 2 cars? Thank you

It's sound like a little 6 cylinder or It is Only a my impression? Why Ford don't built a version with an automatic transmission? In 2019 yuo must give an alternative choise for a buyer!

Well mate, I have owned one of these for a year and a half now. Last week I completed a 220 mile trip at 49.6mpg (UK). If they are driven normal throttle around town I'd expect around 35-40mpg BUT, with a lot of fun included around 34-35...Still really surprising how good it is on fuel. I have also remapped mine stage 1 including air filter.
