I honestly hate it when ppl say "oh they need to retire". Thats literally so stupid. If they want to keep running let them run. Track and field is not only a job but it is ppl passions. They can run as long as they want to. Dont bring p them down.

Nah, you can see 20-30 meters out of the blocks when it 1st started to pull. He was running with straight legs pretty much the whole way. Look at the stress on his face coming out of the turn. He's normally very relaxed. He should have pulled up WAY before that.

Glad to see De Grasse back in good form heard he was injured last season which was the reason he wasn't doing so well. I hope he can keep the momentum. Miguel Francis was also nursing and injury last year if he can stay healthy he'll be the favorite for 200m this year imo.

Gatlin felt that immediately. You can see where he started to tie up about 20-30 meters out of the blocks...he was running straight-legged. He should have pulled out as soon as he felt it. Before they were even out of the turn you could see the stress on his face. But that damn foolish pride wouldn't allow him to. You gotta listen to your body bruh.

Fake or not this event is offseason and small payday so its not worth risking any serious injury so athletes dont push as much and are not really prepared for serious competition which opens them up for defeat against other upcoming athletes. Any lost could even affect his endorsements...its pure business, like the time Bolt false started because he was paid for an appearance to pull a crowd, the organizers couldnt have afforded to pay him to run and win...business as usual.

Kelvin Conner yes I've seen this times before the injury and he may have run sub 20 twice in his career( a few times in the 19.8s). He did finish second to Bolt in Rio but even then he couldn't break 20 seconds, not impressive. My point is he was never #1, just overhyped by the media
