This has gots to be the best kayak setup ever! I mean,...you left no stones uncovered,.....loving the in sync rudder and propeller! Nice,....very nice!

Great rig, and presentation. I have a comparable setup, but went with the Compass Duo for a second person. Now that I see how easily the Sidekick comes off, I will order that too. I do use rod floats and pool noodles on almost everything; but still, to capsize would be a disaster, and I'm mostly in saltwater. Regarding the Torqeedo, not ready yet because I'm afraid I will get lazy and never use my pedals. But it sure looks fun, and useful. Thanks for the vid.

Like your setup. Been thinking about putting a small trolling motor on mine through the Mirage Port but where I live it has to be registered just like a power boat. Even putting a Hobie sail on it! Irritating! Only $7.50 but they tax the boat yearly.

Wow, feel like I just watched an infomercial. Except I enjoyed this one. Beautiful rig and setup but I need to be honest. All those cables, retracts, cords make me nervous. Kinda like power windows in a car...great to have until it stops working, lol. Maybe it wasn't the cables and such that bothered me, maybe it was just kayak envy. Great vid! Smashed the like button!

I love it, but It feels it’s not a kayak from the primitive original definition point of view, once ONLY a FFinder and a EMotor is rig to me it’s already no longer a kayak, definitely high tech next level kayak rig but far from the Inuits original concept. I truly respect any way or form of go kayak, but I also think about where are we going? To much of everything nowadays . How much time to rig it up and be ready to go out...?, just to much time to only thinking to move that to the truck/trailer storage all the stuff, and for those usually is a two times work for a round trip if not close to the water, in NJ summer probably would give enough time to spoil the catch inside the cooler by the time im back home, to much weight, to munch $$$ to later probably be better with a boat in my local spots. Still, incredible to only think you need this to catch a fish. I just travel to Alaska, and I saw a kayak, what really natives use to catch and kill a whale, wonder if they watch any reviews in this platform and media or even imaging they have one of this 🤔 Keep up the good work guys! 👍

@tonysfishingadventures6725

Let’s say $4k for the yak and another 3k for the motor and the other stuff. So, we are looking at about $7,000 to have a kayak like that. It’s nice but also you would need the transportation and storage for it. Idk man…. Perhaps if I have the money, truck and place, I’ll think to get one like that.

@nunyabidness3075
4 жыл бұрын
AdamBrr Fishing, it’s all really cool, don’t get me wrong. But costs are NOT the benefit here. Used boats are CHEAP and do not need insurance. Gas is cheap. I really doubt your costs for 5 years is less with that Yak, and you can’t bring anyone with. How about you do a video where you actually load the boat from how you usually store it to putting it the water so us old farts can compare to the old school solution?
@jerrykrobby
4 жыл бұрын
@@nunyabidness3075 couple of things. First you obviously have never owned a boat or you wouldn't say boats are cheap. Kayaks do not even come remotely close to what it costs to buy and maintain a boat. Second who are you to judge how this man chooses to spend his money?
@nunyabidness3075
4 жыл бұрын
Jerry Krabe, I did not judge, I asked. He answered. I think you then started being judge mental. No? Boats don’t take much maintenance if you get the right boat. Engines take maintenance. Pedal systems take maintenance, and electric motors take maintenance. Hey, if you just like Kayaks, buy kayaks. A perfectly good answer is you prefer kayaks over boats. Kayaks hold there value well too. I prefer canoes. Expensive canoes. Still cheaper than Kayaks and weigh 30 pounds. Still cost benefit is worth looking at. Used aluminum boats are stupid cheap.

Mick Carson you have no clue what you're talking about. Compare the upfront cost of this man's kayak set up to any motor powered boat and those numbers could possibly be equal. But the maintenance of a kayak vs a boat is not even comparable in terms of costs. Over the life of the boat the amount in maintenance you will spend is 10 fold or more compared to a kayak. Yes I have owned numerous boats and kayaks and am speaking from experience. If you're going to call someone ignorant at least make sure you're making a valid statement.
