The stand is NOT awkward to find. Just lift the foot peg with your heel, and you're there. My 2011 W800 just clicked over 80,000 km the other day, and every one of 'em was a joy. The surface protection on my early model could've been better, so, rust (I ride it through the winter, though). Trouble? One of the mufflers coughed its innards out along some road, leading to the installation of some more ... expressive ... pipes. Now, it's ... just ... perfect.

I'm impressed. The W800 looks beautiful and sounds great. I love the shaft driven overhead cam. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the engine apparently shedding heat more efficiently than the chain using competition, but an oil cooler free frame definitely looks better and shaves weight. $10,200 including the destination fee is very reasonable. I would, however, seriously think about paying the dealer a little more to install crash bars.

Thank heaven for Exeter Rider! (and for British Bike reviewers in general) I've watched now several American and Far Eastern reviews of this bike up to date and they just basically poodle along about 50 wibbling (and wobbling) on about 'this sort of bike' and never even giving the throttle a good hard twist. Result being long, boring and verbose reviews which tell me nothing about the bike. Whereas, not only have you got the bike up to motorway speed, but you have ridden on rough services, checked the exhaust sound and done a walk around. All in the first 13 minutes! Only downside for me is the price and rather high for my short legs seat height, oh that and the ridiculous Kawasaki pricing on accessories. £144 quid for a helmet lock anyone!!!
